Colleen’s Weekly #Poetry Tuesday Challenge #Tanka – 31/10 – Fright & Night

Colleen is away now for FIVE weeks, completing #NaNoWriMo… but she’s left her challenges for those weeks… here!

The twist is you have to use her words but as synonyms, not the actual words!

So this week, we have

Fright & Night

Hand, Fear, Despair, Expression, Scared

On All Hallows Eve
All the spooky ghouls come out
Ready to have fun
Strange things begin to happen
Once darkness covers the land

#SoCS Oct. 28/17 – Which/Witch/Wich

Linda’s back with another great #SoCS prompt!

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “which/witch/wich.” Start your post with the word “which” and try to fit the word “witch” in somewhere if you can. Bonus points if you use a word that ends in “wich.” As an added rule this week, you will lose all the points you’ve ever earned if you type “which witch is which” anywhere in your post. Have fun!

Oooh! You hard taskmaster, Linda!

Which sandwich filling would a Witch choose?

Now, I’m no witch, chicken salad does me, or a simple ham and tomato on wholemeal.

But I don’t think those choices would appeal to the pointy hatted ones… (stereotypical of me, I know, forgive me!)

Probably more of a frogs legs and slug slime toastie, or maybe a fish-eyes and gherkin bap?

I’m guessing the more mould on the bread the better too!

And on the note of witches and Halloween, we have our school Halloween disco on Wednesday – 1st November, not the 31st October, I know – and I may just have to ‘witch’ it up!

Well, there you are! And the images are all from Pixabay!

#WritePhoto – Ebb

Sue’s #WritePhoto Prompt this week:

I thought I’d continue the adventures of Barbie and Ken!

On their quest for a more stimulating intimate life together, Barbie and Ken were trying to act out any fantasies they had.
Barbie got out of the car and looked around her.
“Seriously babe? I said I wanted Sex on the Beach… Not a Roll around in Seaweed!”
Ken looked perplexed…Where was the water?
Looking at the notice board that explained the high and low tides, he realised he’d blown it again.

And a little Haiku too…

A tide ebbs away
Revealing hidden nature
Soon to be covered
