WRITESPIRATION #140 52 WEEKS IN 52 WORDS WEEK 45 – Shoes @sacha_black

Sacha’s #Writespiration prompt this week:

Your challenge is to write your story using the weekly theme/prompt and write it in just 52 words…. EXACTLY, no more, no less.

Write a day in the life of a pair of shoes – your protagonist IS the shoes.

“Look at them, with their high heels and pointed, patent toes. Okay, they look good, but what about all the pain they cause?  I know she is excited to wear them. Louboutins, they call themselves, with those funny red soles. But she’ll come back to me, as always. Slippers are the best.”

This week I want you to write about the day you accidentally squeezed someone’s boob!

“Well, this is an interesting fruit display!”
I went to pick a rather succulent mango up, except I couldn’t.
It wriggled, and then I realised that my hand was clasped around the boob of a human serving platter!
Embarrassed, I let go, leaving a clear handprint in the previously perfect body paint!

WRITESPIRATION #137 52 WEEKS IN 52 WORDS WEEK 42 – An Animal Perspective @sacha_black

Sacha’s #Writespiration prompt this week:

Write your 52 words from the perspective of an animal.

Today I was inspired by my best friend’s baby, our cat Sonu Singh, and their first encounter with each other!

Who’s that?
I’m not sure what’s going on here.
I’m used to my two-leggers picking me up and playing with me.
They’re pretty good actually, they feed me, clean up after me.
But what is that?
A little two-legger, who doesn’t even use her legs… and she pulled my whiskers!
I’m off!

Eating Out Of My Hand – Literally! #HeerAnd Ranjha #MondayBlogs

We’ve completed a week with our two feathered additions, Heer and Ranjha the parrotlets, to the family.

It’s been a time of adjusting and change for all.

As a cat, Sonu Singh is intrigued, but can’t work out why he can’t play with them!

The kids just want them to come out of the cage and perform tricks, or miraculously start speaking – the concept of settling, then training seems to be alien!

Hubby Dearest and I are busy, cleaning the cage regularly, and spending time talking to them. They are too scared for us to get too close yet.

Well, they were… But we had a great breakthrough the other day.

I placed my hand inside the cage and both of them flew onto my hand to eat!

They have, since, done the same on both the kids hands too, and this means they are suddenly more interesting to them. Now they fight to feed them, and I have to stop them from overfeeding the wrong seeds!

Sonu Singh watches…

This is what they do, spend time staring at each other! Strange creatures, but we do love em!
