Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “a picture from wherever.” When you sit down to write your post, find a picture, whether in a magazine, newspaper, or even product packaging. Write whatever thought or emotion the picture provokes. Enjoy!

I don’t get physical newspapers or magazines often now, so I had nothing handy as I settled down to write this post. Most of the books I had were not picture books, so I thought I would scroll through my gallery and just randomly pick a picture from my old pics… and this is what came out.

Now, this little (large) fella caused more than a few guffaws when it tumbled out of the fruit bags at school a few years ago! Honestly, it makes me giggle just looking at the photo! A pear who thought he was a banana, or a courgette? Who knows?

A confused bit of fruit was this pear
As he questioned each giggle and glare
"Please wash me and eat
I'm ever so sweet
Why , oh why do you just stand and stare?"
