Store Twenty One

This past few days we have visited several large shopping outlets, and I’ve come out with hardly anything… From the large shopping centre and outlet, Lakeside to Bluewater shopping centre. And yesterday we visited several shops here in Brum with my mum… Expensive ones, discount ones, outlet ones, usual ones… And I saw nothing, seriously nothing…
But I have to say, the last couple of years every 6 months or so, I like to go to this shop near my parents house… I haven’t seen an outlet of this company down our end, but seriously, its great!

I’ll always end up with a bag full of stuff, costing £60-70 for a whole heap of stuff!
Check out my loot this time!

6 dresses and 3 lots of leggings!!!
I’m well impressed!

I hate to spend too much on work clothes, as working with little ones, try here is always an abundance of paint and glitter, and if you wear something expensive, its sure to get ruined!!!
But this place, perfect! And things wash and last too!!

Spring Flowers – Kids Logic Part 24

image

Outside Pops and Mums house

Looking at the beautiful sprung flowers in bloom, and especially the daffodils, reminds me of a day about 3 years ago when Lil Princess was in nursery.
She had been talking about all things ‘spring’ in class and was very excited to share her new knowledge!

Me: So what did you do today in nursery?
LP: I know ALL about spring mummy!
Me: Cool! Like what?
LP: Bunnies and chicks, and lambs and flowers and dandydils!
Me: Dandydils??
LP: Yes, those yellow flowers, dandydils!

She’d mixed up daffodils and dandilions!
I can’t look at the yellow blooms without remembering that conversation!!

Day one of our break!

My 'feel better' present!

It was wonderful arriving back home after many months of being here!
Mum lovingly fed us lunch and we went off shopping after. The plan, get all that kind of stuff done early in, so we can chill with the kids the next few days!
Kids, as always , are never going to like shopping but they were pretty patient, especially as Nani got them surprises!
We got home and it was wonderful to see Pops who had been out when we arrived. But then headache struck… a bad one… I ended up retiring to bed at 5.30pm as I couldn’t function!
Nanu and Nano had a great time cooking and feeding the kids, then the obligatory visit to the park! I got up at 7 and came down to happily overexcited children AND grandparents!

Pops had found an old video of my 11th birthday celebrated with the family in Kenya. We watched that, me with a scarf tied round my head, apparently looking like Jack Sparrow according to Lil Man, to help the headache pain that wasn’t going!

Dinner then bath n bedtime for the munchkins. Then once all were tucked up, after speaking to Daddy and Sonu Singh, I tried to sleep… To no avail… It was 1am before I could sleep! That’s what you get for sleeping in the day!

Missing my Hubby Dearest though, and Fur Baby Sonu Singh… At least I get photo updates of him from Hubby!!!

Still, bright n breezy, I awoke and was gifted the above sticker from Lil Princess, to make me feel better!
Reading it, I’m wondering whether there’s a deeper meaning, associated with all the shops the kids trudged through yesterday with me!!!!
Well, today’s a new day, with them planning all sorts, including dragging us all swimming!
Til another post folks!!!
🙂

Flash Fiction Foray 5 – American Pie

This time it’s The Book Blogger ‘s Flash Fiction Foray number 5! The song to use as inspiration was American Pie by Don Mclean.

Apple pie, tangy and sweet, with ice cream, even better with custard! A comforting, warming end to a wintery meal… Delicious!
Blueberry pie, each bite containing juicy bursts of flavour, drizzled with cream… Perfect!
Lemon meringue pie, my absolute favorite! Crispy yet gooey, tan and white peaks resting atop a beautifully tangy yellow sea of lemon with a buttery biscuit base…Heaven!
Steak and kidney pie… I’m sorry but kidney? No no for me!
Chicken pie, a savoury delight with chunks of chicken in gravy sauce, encased in melt-in-the-mouth short crust pastry…
So what’s an American Pie?????

Not quite fiction, but in my FFF style!!

Daydreamer Challenge Day 2 – One Me, 1 Word

image

The challenge…here…

One word, one me
positive
I think that is what would describe me to a tee! I always try to look on the bright side of life… I like to think the glass of life is half full, rather than empty!
And my made up word?
Happitive
Because I’m always positive and happy! (Or I try to be!)

But I Smile Anyway...
