Spidey found a humdinger of a quote this week!
I love this whole philosophy that just because we may not get huge recognition for our good deeds, it shouldn’t stop us from doing them.
Unfortunately, there are folk out there who only do good in order to look ‘great’.
The people who are truly great are those who don’t look around constantly, to see who saw them give a donation or who noticed them helping that old lady across the road.
The truly great are selfless.
These good deeds are done naturally, with only compassion in their heart, and a true sense of happiness that they may have eased the life or day of someone.
Make it a daily thing Peeps. Try and do something, anything to help someone, however small, and feel great that you have done something positive. A small thing to you may be great to someone else.

So many people seem to be absorbed with a celebrity complex. i.e. I did a good deed today and I expect the whole world to recognize me for it and give me celeb treatment! What is sad is that humility, which is taught in all major religions, is overlooked. What is even sadder (to me), is that they never get the sense of pure inner satisfaction of knowing that while they did something good for somebody, nobody (not even the receiver) knows who they are. That is probably the purest form of giving because there can be no recognition for it other than what you give to yourself, but what you give to yourself is priceless! 🙂
