#JusJoJan – January 29th, 2018 – Fantastic

Day twenty-nine of #JusJoJan!

I’m going to try to write on each of the prompts!

Today the prompt is:

Your prompt for January 29th 2018, brought to you by author,  Jill (J-Dubs), is “Fantastic” Use it any way you’d like in your post. And make sure you visit Leta at her blog, “J-Dubs Grin and Bear It” to read her post and say hi! Here’s her link: https://jilywily.wordpress.com/

Fantastic

It’s been a while since I can say, hand on heart, that I have woken up in the morning feeling fantastic.

Maybe it’s the weather, or the dark mornings, that make me feel more lethargic.

It could be the craziness at work, the being split in two with my two class teacher hats on.

Or is just a general bleurgh at life at the moment?

Possibly, I am suffering from SAD – Seasonal Affected Disorder – but I don’t think so. It’s never really affected me before.

But I know I definitely don’t feel fantastic.

Here’s hoping the fantastic kicks in in February!

See you tomorrow!

#JusJoJan – January 28th, 2018 – Knight

Day twenty-eight of #JusJoJan!

I’m going to try to write on each of the prompts!

Today the prompt is:

Your prompt for January 26th 2018, brought to you by author,  Leta Hawk, is “Knight” Use it any way you’d like in your post. And make sure you visit Leta at her blog, “Hawk’s Happenings” to read her post and say hi! Here’s her link: https://letaphawk.wordpress.com

Knight

What a great prompt today!

Not least because I spent a good hour yesterday morning talking about Knights to Lil Princess!

Her Literacy homework this weekend comprised of drawing a picture of a knight, male or female, and then writing a character description, both physical and personality to be discussed, for use in a writing project later next week.

I shan’t go into detail with her words, but I had to share her picture.

Lil Princess has recently gone a bit anime crazy. She doesn’t watch them, but loves to draw anime figures, so the knight got the anime treatment too!

So let me present to you, Knight Nyla! (Obviously, she chose an empowering female knight!)

#SoCS Jan. 27/18 – #JusJoJan Day 27 – Movement (or not!)

Linda’s prompt for SoCS this week…

Your prompt for #JusJoJan and Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: movement. However, don’t use the word “movement.” Choose some sort of movement, and base your post on that. Enjoy!

Using blink as my movement

Standing stock still is really tough.
But I’m determined to win this.
Musical Statues is my thing.
I’ve managed to get to the last two, and my competitor is pretty good at this.
Phew! The music is on again, I can have a little boogie, get the jitters out of my body and get ready to hold my position to victory.
Off!
Stop.
Stock still again.
Oh Jeez, the sun’s coming out and it is bright, so bright, must… not… blink
Dang! I blinked! And the judge saw. That’s me out.
No fair!

That’s it for me today!

Happy Saturday Peeps!

#JusJoJan – January 26th, 2018 – Address

Day twenty-six of #JusJoJan!

I’m going to try to write on each of the prompts!

Today the prompt is:

Your prompt for January 26th 2018, brought to you by the lovely John Holton, is “Address.” Use it any way you’d like in your post. And make sure you visit John at his blog, “The Sound of One Hand Typing” to read his post and say hi! Here’s his link:  https://thesoundofonehandtyping.wordpress.com/

Address

Sometimes you are stuck in a situation, and you don’t quite know what to do.

In your mind, you know precisely what the solution is, but the time, to address the issue with the other party, is never right.

Despite having a way to move forward, you just can’t work out how, or when, to broach the subject.

You risk everything blowing up out of proportion, by trying to discuss things, to address a problem, if it’s not at the time they are ready to talk, at a time they are ready to seek guidance.

Been there, done that.

Somehow, I can never get that moment right…

#JusJoJan – January 25th, 2018 – Prediction

Day twenty-five of #JusJoJan!

I’m going to try to write on each of the prompts!

Today the prompt is:

Your prompt for January 25th 2018, brought to you by Dar, is “Prediction.” Use it any way you’d like in your post. And make sure you visit Dar at her blog, “Dar’s Words” to read her post and say hi! Here’s her link: https://darsword.wordpress.com/

Prediction

Are you a believer in those who say they can tell the future?

Do you find yourself drawn to your horoscopes in the morning, scanning your sign’s predictions for the day, and trying desperately to match the goings on in your life with whatever has been written in those fifty-odd words?

Maybe you’ve had your cards read, or your palm?

Or perhaps you are the one who pooh-pooh’s those ideas, saying no one can tell the future… a sceptic, who would never believe this.

I’m a bit of both. I read the daily horoscopes with humour, seeing how generally they are written, so they may appeal to pretty much anyone.

Yet, I have a fascination with the more traditional ways of predicting the future too.

I’ve had my astrological charts read by Indian astrologers (not me, my Pops instigated this), my cards read, my palm looked at, my handwriting analysed, and I have even been to a private clairvoyant.

All the readings have been interesting in their own way. Some things that were said to me have come true, some haven’t reared their head…yet. Some were amusing, some eye-opening.

But I don’t ever take these readings as gospel. They are always with a pinch of salt. I know that there is every chance that the person who has read for me, may not be genuine, but equally, I do believe that there is some out there with a true gift, and their words have truth in them.

Obviously, I’m not a psychic, I don’t know who is right and who is wrong, so I collect my predictions, and look over them a while later, seeing who got things right, and who didn’t… As I said, pinch of salt…!

Do you believe in any of the above?

See you tomorrow!
