… But I have a boyfriend…
He’s gorgeous, blue eyed floppy blond haired… gives the best hugs…
No, don’t fret peeps, Hubby Dearest and me are totally fine, but I officially have my first little boy in my class with a crush on me!
He’s a most delightful, very bright little boy, suspected Aspergers Syndrome, and initially, he found the school setting tough. Being an only child too didn’t help. His social skills weren’t up to much, but he’s come along so much!
On Monday, he wouldn’t stop hugging me, and came bounding back into the classroom at home time several times after going out to his mummy, to give me and the other staff members great big hugs.
The next day the hugs were still there, bigger and bolder. On Thursday, yesterday, he came up to me and told me he likes me, and he was going to be my boyfriend. I told him we’d need to tell Mr B, as he might not be too happy. I suggested he write a note, as he is amazing at writing, but he said “No, you tell him!” .
So last night I dropped the bombshell at home, that I now have a boyfriend.
Today at lunchtime, he came in to get his coat, after eating, to go hareing outside, as they usually do. He rushed over and nearly dive bombed me with a huge bear hug, then stepped back and looked concernedly at my chest. “That hurt me that did,” pointing at the lanyard around my neck.. I moved it out of the way and he hugged me again. This time he stepped back, and flashed me a cheeky smile, “Your boob was in the way!” and ran out of the door!
