My Mystery Blogger Award

Dear Mitch has nominated me for the Mystery Blogger Award.

Thank you so much, Mitch, I am honoured that you think I rock!

I am a little snowed under with things at the moment and have taken part before, so I am sharing your post as a thank you!

I shall, however, answer your questions, because I love a good Q & A session!

Five Questions for my Nominees

  1. What moment or choice in your past do you wish you could undo? My first choice of frames for my glasses… I looked like an 11-year-old granny!
  2. Funniest movie/s you ever saw? There are so many… I’ve always loved the old British Humour, pre PC times so the Carry On Films are a must for a giggle! More recently Girls Trip had me cracking up, and Bad Moms!
  3. Greatest song/s you’ve ever heard? You can’t ask an eclectic music lover like me a question like that! I love so many different songs, I couldn’t possibly choose one! Oh, Okay, I guess one is En Vogue’s Hold On!
  4. Greatest truth you’ve ever learned? That nothing is more precious than my kids and family. They come first every time.
  5. What are the last words you want to hear before dying, and/or the first words you want to hear after dying? Before: We love you, we miss you but we’ll be okay.  After: Peace at last!

Pops Busts Some Moves! #FridayFeeling

You will have read about me many times over, writing about my darling of a dad, my Pops.

He is a true inspiration to me and just never stops!

This past weekend, he was helping the Sikh Union Club where he teaches Yoga, at a Vaisakhi fair.

He heard a Dhol (Punjabi drum) from afar, and couldn’t resist!  I edited the video he sent because the end was a little advertorial about the stall he ended up at, and in Punjabi, so not understandable for most of you!

What you do see, is my nearly 72-year-old Pops busting some moves!

He did say in a little interview after his ‘performance’ that the sound of the drums got his shoulders moving, and then he just had to follow the beat and ended up improvising a little routine!

It tends to run in our family, hearing music and then dancing and/or singing!

I love my dear Pops, and his energy for life!

He says that the music makes him feel full of life, and he has to dance, and he dances from the heart. Then he watches videos and cringes at the old man who is on the screen.

Can I hear it for my super-cool Pops, who not only rocked the moves, but the sunglasses too!

3 Days 3 Quotes – Roald Dahl Special – Day 1

The lovely Sandra over at A Momma’s View tagged me for the Three Days, Three Quote challenge.

You know I love these challenges!

This time I have decided to concentrate on some pearls of wisdom from Roald Dahl!

I do love this quote from The Twits. It’s so true! If you are a positive person, that really does emanate from your being.

So smile everyone, and remember the brighter side of life!

I open this tag to anyone who would like to take part!

#WritePhoto – Fallen

Sue’s #WritePhoto Prompt this week:

Let Sleeping Rocks Lie

“Shh! they look so peaceful. We can’t move them!” Bob surveyed the scene, and his gaze fastened upon the two large stones again.
“But what we gonna tell The Boss, Bob?” Dick knew The Boss wasn’t an easy man. He expected the site to be clear by tomorrow evening. There were big plans afoot for this plot of land he’d bought.
Luxury houses boasting a true view of nature – never mind how much of that nature they would have to destroy to create them.
“I dunno… there’s just something about them. It’s like they’re telling me submili- sulbimin-, oh you know, like they’re sending me messages not to touch them, or the stuff around them.” He looked at Dick. “Don’t you hear it?”
Dick stood, cocked his ear to one side, straining to hear anything. “Nah mate, all I hear is the sound of the bulldozers making their way over!”
“All I know is I can’t do it.” Bob took off his hardhat and made to walk off.
***
Soddom opened his eye and glanced over at Gomorrah. “Do you think it worked then?”
“I’ve been laying here for over nine hundred years. It’s not the first time they’ve tried to move us. It’ll not be the last. But the point is, we’re still here aren’t we?”
“And why was it again, that we couldn’t be moved?”
“Because, dear Soddom, we’re fallen angels, destined to lay in one place forever more.”
“But what would happen if we were?”
“I’m not about to try and find out. The last time we didn’t listen to Him, we went from beautiful cherubs to large lumps of rock. We lost our wings, our voices. At least time, and erosion, has given us some shape back. Goodness knows what He would do to us if we moved… Now do be quiet, you’re disturbing my beauty sleep!!
