Fuzzy little wuzzy old bear!

How many of you have a Winnie the Pooh cuddly? Go on, admit it! You must have one! At least!

I was, and still am, totally in LOVE with Winnie the Pooh!

A.A.Milne, you were, and still are, in my eyes, wonderful!

I read, and reread the Pooh Bear books as a young girl, I even read from one as part of a reading examination!

And I still have my original book set from when I was a wee lass!

They’re falling to bits! Well loved!

I enjoyed the poems, as well as the, stories, and would sit with my cuddly Walt Disney-fied Winnie the Pooh, reading happily!

The kids like to see old Pooh Bear on the TV, it’s not the same, but that voice, and look, is what has stuck, rather than the original versions of him. When they were born, they were gifted soft toy versions of the various characters, Tigger being just like Lil Man, as he was a jumper from the off!

I still managed to collect more books associated with Pooh Bear over the last few years, when they come via our discounted book club at work!

Book Review: Onside Out: Living With Demons A.A. May

I’m not one for reviews generally, I seem to have so much to write about on here that If I started that too, I would be on the computer forever!

However, I will always gladly support a friend, and fellow writer, and this book, Inside Out:Living With Demons by A.A.May is the true story of a friend of mine, a harrowing account of a very troubled childhood, and of her formative adult years. It’s part of a trilogy, the others haven’t been published yet.

Please, if you get a chance, click on here, and down load this heart wrenching recount of a very turbulent childhood. I was sat on the train this morning, reading it, and fought back tears, knowing her, and what she’d been through…

Inspiring Day!

I’ve been on the other side of the teachers desk today, as a student!
My shiny new stationary had its outing, and we boarded the train heading towards London for my first session of my Return To Teach course!
I was, honestly, more concerned about the travel, than the course!!! But I managed, via a fantastic, though late, high speed train!!
Arrived early, grabbed some lunch to eat at the break and headed in, as one of the first eager beavers signed up for the course.
And it was a fact filled, laughter fuelled, highly inspirational day! It made me feel so confident in myself, I feel I knew so much of what she was saying … Though there was so much for me to take away with me, new strategies to put into place, enough to instill confidence in me, that I CAN do it, I could, just possibly, be an inspiring, and motivating educator myself!
Roll on my placement, and the next two months!!!!
Now I am back on the train, on time this time, and heading home, with a bag full of books and information, a head brimming with ideas, and a mind buzzing with things I want to tell my head teacher!!! Just need to rescue my kids from after school club (or rescue the staff from my kids?!) And get to my in laws for dinner!
But I’m exhausted… And to be honest, what I’d love, what I’d really love, is my bed!!!!!
