Spidey’s Serene Sunday – Part 359 – Peace

img_00411

“Peace begins with a smile.”

Mother Teresa

I’m smiling here, Spidey, and hoping it brings inner as well as outer peace, over here!

You see, I need that peace, and quiet, so I can get busy, today, with a day that I have managed to clear, so I can devote it to as much writing-based work, as possible. Whether it is words that get written, or better planning, for the future words, I need that peace!

There will be some time in the morning when the rest of the household doesn’t bother to rise until midday. Then at least 3 hours when Lil Man and Hubby Dearest go to cricket training. Lil Princess will happily keep out of my way, so I can continue to be busy myself.

Hopefully, a productive day will give me the route to the rest of the story I am writing.

Wish me luck!

So, how do you ensure peace around you, when you are trying to be productive?

Wishing you a wonderfully peaceful Sunday, Peeps!

#SoCS & #JusJoJan – Jan. 22 2022 – A Rainy Day

Linda’s prompt for SoCS this week:

Your prompt for #JusJoJan and my very first birthday-Stream-of-Consciousness-Saturday is: “icing on the cake.” Write about the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the phrase “icing on the cake.” Enjoy!

The icing on the cake is most certainly a phrase that tends to describe events or things that are beyond belief, and that is usually in a negative way, rather than a positive, or, in my experience anyway.

For example:

We had a bit of a crazy week at school with staffing, plus there were absences, with the children, due to there being a vomiting bug. Of course, there are times we have to clean up after sickness incidences, especially if they happen in our classrooms. To add to this, the icing on the cake was also having to remove a dead baby mouse from the playground – bleurgh! And the cherry on top? A poopy nappy, right at the end of the day!

Daily Prompt – JusJoJan the 21st, 2022 – Mission

It’s been a while since I took part in Linda’s JusJoJan month-long prompts, but, since I vowed to be creative, here goes!

Today is January 21st, so this is the 21st prompt for Just Jot it January 2022, and it’s brought to us by Fandango. Thank you, Fandango! Please be sure to visit his blog to read his post and say hello. And follow him while you’re there, if you’re not already.

Your prompt for JusJoJan January 21st, 2022, is “mission.” Use the word “misson” any way you’d like. Have fun!

Thank goodness it is Friday.

No, seriously. This week feels like it has been the longest week, ever. A true mission to get from Monday to today!

Added to the fact that it was Blue Monday, it’s the end of the pay cycle after Christmas, so funds everywhere are low, and I have been getting headaches, which I think were linked to my sinuses.

So, I am hoping, beyond hope, of a weekend of rest, but also no being ill.

Because being a mum, and ill, is a mission in itself!

Daily Prompt – JusJoJan the 20th, 2022

One-Liner Wednesday & JusJoJan the 19th, 2022 – Google Maps

“Thank God for Google Maps!”

Ritu Bhathal

Maybe a tad more explanation is needed.

Today, it took us an hour to get home. Double the time it usually takes.

As we got off the motorway, we noticed a low flying search helicopter, flashing its searchlight around.

Didn’t realise they were looking at something on our route home. A sudden road closure with Police all around, meant we had to veer off onto an unknown country road. I quickly tapped our address in and at least it gave us a different route home!
