One more sleep to go!
“What for?”
Seriously? you didn’t know? It’s the BLOGGERS BASH tomorrow!
This is one date I anticipate with ants in my pants. It’s like I’m a child at Christmas, counting the days/sleeps until I get to see everyone again!
Last year was just amazing, with not only the chance to meet so many familiar blog faces, but to also connect and interact with new ones too!
And it was a WINNER Of A Day for me, when I carried home the Best Overall Blogger award for 2017!
I’d baked like a dervish the night before, transporting baked goodies via the train to the venue, and got there in plenty of time, and well, what can I say, it was just amazing!
This year is no different. I have been baking, carrot cakes, and this time I have attempted flapjacks – hope they are okay!
But actually, this year is a little different.
Yes, I shall be sat at the edge of my seat when awards are announced, but I was also asked to be a guest speaker this year, talking about how to time manage my blog as a busy working parent.
I have written my ‘speech’. I don’t know how I’m going to do it, I hope I don’t stand there reading off a page! And I also hope I don’t go off at a nervous speed, and finish withing 3 minutes, thereby throwing the whole day off Schedule… I’ve been given half an hour for talk and questions…EEEK!
And my Hubby Dearest will be by my side, (or the bar!) to support me this year too, which I am delighted about. Blogging has become such a huge part of my life, I want him to see just how much it means to me, and others!
Oh, and before I forget, I got my special nails done too!
Right, I need to go and pack now, so look out for a Bash related post in the next few days, letting you know all about it!!!!!

Okay, so I might not had shouted it from the rooftops (or did I?), but you may, or may not, know that I was nominated for Best Overall Blogger, at the Annual Bloggers Bash Awards this year.
Voting has now closed, so no amount of canvassing for support will change the outcome that is announced on May 19th at the Bash… Eeeeek!

But it was a lovely surprise to open a mail from Hugh on the Committee, with a shiny new badge to add to the widgets that run down the side of my blog!
That is firmly placed now, and I wanted to express my heartfelt thanks to those of you who nominated me in the first place and those of you who voted for bloggers that were up for the awards.
I’m not a winner yet, but that is not the point. Being nominated is the biggest blessing.
And even if I wasn’t up for an award, I would be there, because it is the most amazing event, getting to meet and mingle with blog pals of old, and new ones too!
In the immortal words of Daddy Pig, “It’s not the winning that matters, it’s the taking part that counts! Snort!” (Ooh okay, and Paul (Bear) Bryant!)
So, there it is, a thankful thought for this , what looks to be sunny Thursday morning!

It’s April 30th.
The last day of the month.
And, true to form, the April showers are not just dampening the surroundings, but truly wetting the area. The rain is hammering at the window, and the wind adds its little gusts too.
At least the lawn looks lovely and green after such a long drink!
I’m not in the mood for school.
I was rather grumpy yesterday. We had an issue with our fridge freezer and on Friday, Hubby Dearest ordered a shiny new one, ready to be delivered on Sunday.
I spent all Saturday cleaning it out, re-homing the goods in the extra fridge freezer we have in the summer house, and my mother in laws one.
Behind the unit was DISGUSTING!
Honestly, how many of you pull your fridge freezer out to clean behind it regularly?
And as it backs onto an outside wall that is quite thin, coupled with a leak from the fridge, it was damp and yucky!
Well, anyway, it was all clean, ready for the delivery on Sunday, and then they couldn’t get the dang thing into the house!
It was just a fraction too big to pass through the kitchen door! There was an alternative way to get inside, but as we have a car that is not working, (which Hubby Dearest is determined to fix and sell on) it was blocking the side entrance!
It’s stuck in gear, so you can’t just take the hand break off and roll it, plus the battery is totally flat!
After the delivery guys left, we managed to contact a garage who came and moved the car, but the delivery couldn’t take place the same day…
So I have NO fridge in the house at the moment, meaning morning breakfasts require a traipse to the other side of the garden, in the lashing rain, to get milk, eggs etc!
See. Not a happy bunny.
Added to this, my eyes are REALLY itchy and swollen.
Why?
This stupid thing called hay fever which I am blessed with! And I have been taking my tablets religiously too. Not good.
