Spidey’s Serene Sunday – Part 365 – Rain

img_00411

“The nicest thing about the rain is that it always stops,. Eventually.”

Eeyore

Thanks, Spidey! Since it hasn’t stopped raining much, here the last few days, it’s a good thing to get positive about it, since we can’t change it!

The weather, as is expected here in the UK, is extremely changeable, especially right now during that Spring cusp. Not so much April showers, rather showers as and when the clouds decide to empty their load, and sometimes their loads are rather full!

Rain on school days is a bit of a pain, because the kids need to get out and run around, but if it’s tipping it down, wet play means they are like caged animals, craving the feel of fresh air, and it doesn’t make for an easy class to teach, either!

But, as my friend Eeyore says, it will stop, eventually, and usually the sun decides to pop out after.

Yes, it can be a pain when rain stops events happening, but to be perfectly frank, for me it is a great excuse to be sat at home with my book!

So, what do you think of the rain?

Wishing you a wonderfully peaceful Sunday, Peeps!

April Showers, Undeliveries, Puffy Eyes And The Final Call To Vote!

It’s April 30th.

The last day of the month.

And, true to form, the April showers are not just dampening the surroundings, but truly wetting the area. The rain is hammering at the window, and the wind adds its little gusts too.

At least the lawn looks lovely and green after such a long drink!

I’m not in the mood for school.

I was rather grumpy yesterday. We had an issue with our fridge freezer and on Friday, Hubby Dearest ordered a shiny new one, ready to be delivered on Sunday.

I spent all Saturday cleaning it out, re-homing the goods in the extra fridge freezer we have in the summer house, and my mother in laws one.

Behind the unit was DISGUSTING!

Honestly, how many of you pull your fridge freezer out to clean behind it regularly?

And as it backs onto an outside wall that is quite thin, coupled with a leak from the fridge, it was damp and yucky!

Well, anyway, it was all clean, ready for the delivery on Sunday, and then they couldn’t get the dang thing into the house!

It was just a fraction too big to pass through the kitchen door! There was an alternative way to get inside, but as we have a car that is not working, (which Hubby Dearest is determined to fix and sell on) it was blocking the side entrance!

It’s stuck in gear, so you can’t just take the hand break off and roll it, plus the battery is totally flat!

After the delivery guys left, we managed to contact a garage who came and moved the car, but the delivery couldn’t take place the same day…

So I have NO fridge in the house at the moment, meaning morning breakfasts require a traipse to the other side of the garden, in the lashing rain, to get milk, eggs etc!

See. Not a happy bunny.

Added to this, my eyes are REALLY itchy and swollen.

Why?

This stupid thing called hay fever which I am blessed with! And I have been taking my tablets religiously too. Not good.

So, in order to restore the smile on my face, I am putting out a last day call for you to get over to Sacha’s blog and place your votes for the 2018 Annual Bloggers Bash Awards!

You gotta hand it to Vivian Greene!

You have to learn how to live with what life throws at you, and what you have been given. If you wait for the perfect moment to arrive, you miss so much of your own life, and experiences that you may never have again.

So go! Dance in the rain, and enjoy it!

RAIN!

So, Day two…

” The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.” – Dolly Parton

Wise woman, that Dolly Parton!

I’m all about embracing the negatives, because they always bring about positives… we could get all cliched, you know, there’s always light at the end of the tunnel, every cloud has a silver lining, etc but hey, their meaning is true! There is always something to hang on to, something to help reel you towards that rainbow, but often you do need to get rained on to achieve it.

And I nominate… Alice, David, and Amelia!

Thank you and good night day!

I’ll be back tomorrow with day 3’s showery offering!!!!

RAIN!

So, Day one…

“Some people feel the rain. Others get wet.” Bob Marley

Image result for some people feel the rain others just get wet

Love this quote!

Do you feel the rain? I love to watch it. I love to feel it when it is warm, in the tropical countries. I love to think about how it is nourishing everything around, even though it may have just soaked me due to an unexpected downpour!

However, when it means we can’t let the caged animals kids out at school at break or lunchtime, like yesterday, it creates an atmosphere akin to a lunatic asylum in a school as kids NEED  fresh air and run around time!

It was a bit of a mad day, but that would be whole other post!

So, there’s my post for the day.

And I nominate… Katie, Hayley, and Willow!

Thank you and good night day!

I’ll be back tomorrow with day 2’s rainy offering!!!!
