“Sometimes the littlest things take up the most room in your heart.” – Winnie The Pooh

Spidey found this one, and I felt it to be a most apt quote from one of my favourite individuals, that cuddly wuddly teddy all stuffed with fluff, Winnie The Pooh!

I call my son Lil Man for a reason.

He’s little, so that takes care of the ‘Lil’ part and he’s also very mature in some ways, hence the ‘Man’ part!

But besides being quite a grown up young man, he is still a child, and I hope to preserve that childish innocence for as long as I can.

On this weekend, which has become his birthday weekend, Pooh Bear’s quote rings more true than ever. Both Lil Man, and Lil Princess may be growing up but they do indeed take up a HUGE part of this mummy’s heart!

And they will reside there forever!

I’m off to finish decorating his cake now, so I bid you all a fond farewell!

Perusing Google and the inspirational sayings it offered, Spidey and I came across this one.

What a great way to think!

None of us is perfect.

And in a world where ‘perfection’ is continually forced upon us, be it celebs and their (artificially enhanced) looks, or lifestyles, or even down to the perfect fruit and veg we buy in the stores, it is easy to feel as if you are imperfect.

But just a little holler out there to you all,

Perfect is Boring!!!

It’s much more of an interesting journey we travel if we make the odd mistake or wrong decision. It shouldn’t be ruled out or forgotten.

Whatever slip up is made contributes to the person you are going to become.

Embrace your mistakes.

Accept them, and move on.

Learn from them.

Make them part of your story, don’t edit them out of your life’s manuscript.

Now go on and have a perfectly imperfect Sunday my dear Peeps!

What a great saying! Thanks, Spidey!

I know that not everyone has an agreeable relationship with their family, but I do and have been blessed with wonderful parents.

And the line above is something that rings true for me and my brother when applied to my Pops, most definitely!

My brother towers above our Pops, yet I know that for him (and me) Pops will be one person on a pedestal who we look up to forever.

A kind, caring, considerate, loving person… who is there for us all, no matter what. Someone who we can only aspire to be like… If we only have half his qualities, we would be blessed with being great human beings!

So, Happy Fathers Day to my Pops.

Today I feel thankful.

Yesterday was a day filled with wonder.

It capped off a week where I have had a few other bits of good news in both my personal life, and work life, so meeting many of my Blogily, as well as winning Best Overall Blog, was the icing on the cake.

Truly, the words of Mae West echo within me. I received a lot of love and good news this week, and it has honestly been wonderful!

Here’s hoping my luck rubs off on all of you, my wonderful Peeps!!!!!!!!

“Bloom where you are planted.” – Possibly from the Scriptures, but not these exact words!

When Spidey gave me this quote to work with today, I had a think, and it really ‘grew’ (sorry!) on me,

We are not always able to choose where we live, or what situation we find ourselves in. But the point is that if you can accept where you are in life, you can make the best of whatever life has given you, and blossom.

Sometimes it’s best to be king or queen of your own little pond, rather than dreaming of taking over an ocean. If that ocean is in your fate, it will happen.

Don’t dream so big, that you forget to wake up and live your actual life!

Having said that, it is not bad to dream… To aspire to become someone or something is never a bad thing!
