Spidey apologises…

He found a quote but I can’t get the energy to put it up.

Not feeling very well, so I hope to be back up and running soon.

“What day is it?” “Today,” said Piglet. “Ah,” said Pooh, “my favourite day.” – A.A. Milne

Many thanks for that Spidey… I do love a bit of Pooh Bear and his wisdoms.

Just a little reminder to make sure you are living in the now, and not the yesterdays gone by, or in the hope of something better tomorrow.

Today will never come again, so grab it by the horns and ride it!

So… tell me, what are you looking forward to doing, today?

“If nephews and nieces were jewels, I would have the most beautiful gems ever. ” – Unknown

Thank you, Spidey. So apt for this weekend!

Of course if you have been reading my recent posts you would know that I have been impatiently waiting for this weekend, where I get to see my Finndian family again and finally need my Finndian nephew #2.

It has, so far been a wonderful weekend, and we have bonded so well. It’s been a pleasure to see them both interacting and getting to know their bigger cousins, and the pairing up of Lil Princess with nephew #1 is just so precious! Lil Man has been spending time with both of them, and using his uncle to do lots of cricket practice too (my brother plays for the Finnish national side!)

I have just been enjoying the giggles, smiles and cuddles of #2 and the hilarious comments of #1, who is a natural joker!

My heart feels so full of emotion right now, I am not sure how I will be feeling on Monday, when we have to drive back home.

Bittersweet, as I won’t want to say goodbye, not knowing when we will be able to see each other again, but coming home, and bringing with me so many new and wonderful memories. ❤

So… tell me, how do you feel, when meeting new little members of the family?

Patience is not the ability to wait, but the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting.” Anonymous.

I needed that reminder today Spidey!

I find myself needing a whole lot of patience at the moment, what with a teen and tween, busy work schedule, as well as an invalid Hubby Dearest at home who, if he was mobile, would be climbing the walls, and is suffering cabin fever as he can’t get out and about at all.

Usually, I can keep up with everything, but at the moment, as well as what I usually do, I am being solo taxi for all the activities that the kids have, as well as for Hubby, when he needs to have a change of scenery.

I don’t sleep soundly as I am constantly on alert incase he needs anything in the middle of the night.

And of course, I can’t forget Sonu Singh.

Since he’s been on his diet, he has suddenly become more aware of the earlier daylight and will start his miaowing and call for food from 5am…

All this makes for a rather tired Ritu, and I will fall asleep early(ish) for a fitful hours, before waking, and waiting for His Lordship to get upstairs too, then sleep. On the weekend, the moments I get to sit down end up with me snoozing at the wrong times, and then I wake in a panic as I have to get the kids someplace at a certain time.

Then there is the inevitability that one of them will have forgotten something, making my journey twice as long…

Then, well, anything at all, however little will be like the straw that broke the camels back, and I explode! It’s like any patience I have had with invalid and annoying youngsters vanishes!

It’s not just Momster that comes out but an emotional wreck who gets teary too…

But if I had a little patience, and took a step back, thought about what I needed to do, the hows and wheres and whyfors, I’d be able to cope.

Easy to say… But I’ll try to do!

So… tell me, are you patient?

“To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.”

Audrey Hepburn

Thank you Spidey for an intriguing quite. I know he was looking for that for quite a while.

And it encompasses what Easter can mean in its essentiality.

Easter is a time of hope, of resurrection, of new life.

A time to believe in tomorrow.

Wishing you all a wonderful Easter Peeps, many your eggs be plentiful and your hopes fulfilled!
