Ok so this one is not my spawn inspired, but from a child in my class…
Oh I giggled, and still am!
We usually have a little rhyme at morning register that our class teacher sings with the kids, giving then a chance to come up with some WOW words, some great descriptive words to let us know how they are feeling today.
Usually two children a day get a chance, and they get some great ones, or regurgitate ones that seem to be used regularly.
The other morning, we asked all 30 to come up with one, and there were lots of ‘marvellous’, ‘excellent’, ‘great’, ‘super cute’, ‘super great’, super lots of stuff.
We came to one of our children who has English as a second language and she came up with ‘chicken souper’!!!!
Bless her, she had heard super so much, and heard soup in her mind, so Chicken Souper made total sense to her!
I’ve been saying it all day, if I like something… Think it’ll catch on??!

Fast forward to tonight, watching Comic Relief in TV tonight.

Me: Why?
LP: These stories just get me so teary! Can I go to Kenya now to help? I don’t need new stuff, I’ll take things for them!
