To love someone so completely… is devotion indeed.

Some think you shouldn’t worship anyone to that extent. It leaves you vulnerable, so vulnerable.

When you do love someone in this way, it consumes you. You are them, they are you. You would do anything for them, give anything for them.

In many ways, this is how I feel for my Hubby Dearest. I am devoted to him. I would give anything for him. But I know that the feelings are mutual.

My one and only
My heart, my life and my all
Devoted to you

I am attending my dear cousin’s funeral today… The following #SoCS entry is for him.

How will we get through today
When goodbye is the word we have to say?
Why did you have to leave us so?
Who told you it was your time to go?
What should we feel, sorrow or gladness
That you suffered little, but left us with this madness?
Where will you go, some place peaceful now?
I guess that you’ll let us know, somehow…

Day 25 #Loveuary ❤ – Chocolate

Mmmm, Chocolate! I LOVE chocolate.

No seriously, I am not exaggerating. I really do LOVE chocolate. One day many years ago, I had a food sensitivity testing done, as I was getting itchy all the time, and one of the foodstuffs that came up for me to avoid was, Shock, Horror! Chocolate!

I decided then and there that a life of itching was preferable to an existence without the cocoa gold! Existence, that is exactly what it would be…not living life if I had to give up chocolate!

I can happily eat pretty much all chocolate. Plain, Milk, White, flavoured, chocolate coated anything (almost!) but my absolute favourite… Malteasers!

And so, an ode to Malteasers just had to be written!

Oh glorious globes of pleasure
Bringing joy I just can’t measure
I love how you taste
Never eat you in haste
Each nibble of you do I treasure!

… we say goodbye to my cousin.

I will be attending the funeral so will not be as prompt as usual with answering notifications tomorrow.

I drive to the Midlands tonight to stay with Pops, so I’ll check in then.

I have scheduled posts tomorrow though so I’ll theoretically be around, and I will catch up… but apologies in advance if I miss any wonderful posts in that time.

It was another week of emotional ups and downs. Birthdays, coping with loss, late nights, back to school..some element of cake, and lots of trying to be good, to counteract the naughtiness of the previous week.
