Not a nice easy pre-Christmas, festive prompt!

So I ended up with this nonsense rhyme! Hope you enjoy 🙂

“The prompt”, she said, “is moot.”
But it just didn’t compute
Some might think it a beaut
But it’s rendered me almost mute!

So I’ll just rhyme with it – Bandicoot
And there’s also passionfruit
How about lawsuit?
Or maybe cowboy boot?

Not before I convolute
And you, my Peeps, dispute
I really must just shoot
I hope you had a hoot!

Ritu’s Healthy Eating – Week 19 – #icandothis

Another week… will it be another lb?

The countdown to Christmas is on… there have been lots of naughty things being baked/consumed, but hey, it IS Christmas, Syns forgiven, and all that!

So that’s Nutella Tree, Chocolate Croissants, and homemade chocolate dipped cookies… Oops!

And not including the School Christmas Lunch we had, Turkey with all the trimmings… the first of several which I’ll be consuming over the next couple of weeks!

But I was good too!

And how did I do when I stepped on those scales? My only wish was that I had at least maintained last week’s weight… it was inevitable, though, a gain was due…

And I actually lost 0.5lb!

Surprised was not the word!

So that is 19.5lb of on Slimming World, and 24.5lb in total since I began this journey!

I have nibbled on several treats all day… they are everywhere and it is far too tempting!

This week, my in-laws will be back from the Motherland too, so hopefully it won’t end up being me eating a lot of lovely home cooked meals, that aren’t exactly SW friendly!

And it is our staff Christmas party on Wednesday… I can’t guarantee a result like this week, but I can at least try to be good!

And the odd little present as well!

A story for each decoration
Adds spice to our special celebration
Each branch holds a twinkling light
And brightens up the winter night

The only thing to cause concern
A feline who will never learn
Sonu Singh, that crazy cat
I’m sure he’ll knock the tree down flat!

It’s That Christmas Cookie Time of Year!

Around this time last year I baked my annual cookies… and it is no different this year!

(Recipe here if you are interested!)

I like to make them for the family, ande take some into school too as my Christmas gift to my colleagues! They tend to go down pretty well!

This year I also attempted to dip some in both Milk and White chocolate!

They didn’t come out too bad, did they? 🙂

It’s always a lovely surprise to receive a parcel… but even more so when you weren’t expecting it!

That’s what happened today when I arrived from work… there was an innocent looking parcel with my name on it.

Hmm… not the shape I was expecting for the gift I had ordered…

I opened it and to my delight it was this!

(Yes, I am wearing reindeer boppers… it was Christmas lunch with the kids at school today, got to be in the Christmas spirit!)

Thank you Hugh for this! I am soooo looking good forward to reading your book. I had it ready on my kindle… and now I have my very own signed copy!

Please don’t ever thank me for the support, it’s always a true pleasure to support my Blogily, a part of which you are very important!!!
