Creative acceptance!!!

Oo-Er!! I appear to have been nominated again!

Thank you so much to The Ugly Ducklings Life, and her not ugly at all blog, for nominating me for the Creative Blogger Award, once again!

 So Here Are The Rules:

Nominate blogs and notify the nominees.

Post the link of the blog that nominated you.

Share five random facts about yourself.

5 facts about me…

  1. I have just spent the day having an extremely lazy Sunday!  In bed or on the sofa, reading! I finished one book and am over 2/3 through another!  And we watched the Wimbledon Men’s final too!
  2. I am jealous of my cousin who got my mum’s gorgeous light brown eyes, and I didn’t!!!!
  3. I was once in the creative team for a Jewellery business!  Sound impressive? It wasn’t such a big deal, we had to do the Young Enterprise scheme in 6th form, and we decided to make our own jewellery to sell, I became adept at creating earrings and twisting bits of wire!
  4. I managed to chip my front tooth as a child, getting out of the swimming pool!
  5. In a space of 6 months I was hit from the back, while driving, and stationery at a roundabout… THREE TIMES! What luck eh!

In an English Country (town) Garden!

It appears to be a time to share gardens, as my dear blog paks, Erika and Rich have been doing… So I thought why not take a few snap snotty things of our garden… It’s a wonderful space, but just a tad dry, even with watering, due to the mini heatwave the UK are experiencing!

Here is our space, complete with kids corner and our summer house!

Even Sonu Singh loves the climbing frame!

image

Looking back, at our house, and yes, there is goal posts in the garden! That’s what you need with a sporty son!

image

Buddha, in our oasis of calm!

image

And a laughing Buddha too!

image

And some flowers!

And a few more!
So there you have it… Not the most spectacular of gardens, but it’s OURS!

But I Smile Anyway...

Sports Week!

Peppa sportsIt’s been a busy week, this week, school life is always crazy for a teacher, and I have been busy with more home visits to some of my new pupils starting in September…. seriously teeny tots, some not even three yet! And a meet and greet session at the nursery for some of them too!

I also had a fantastic course all to do with the Early Years Foundation Stage of education, a refresher for professionals going into this young age group after a while. That was fun, apart from the fact that the venue was exactly on the junction that was closed on the M20, thanks to Operation Stack…(strike action to do with lorry drivers, and stuff…I don’t really understand, but what I do know, is that they are seriously impacting on the lives of many of the locals!) so I had a double journey time to the place… still I got there, and that’s what matters, and we were able to leave earlier too, which was cool, as some others were going to have an awful journey home because of these closures!

And at school it has been Sports Week. Lil Princess had her Sports Day on Monday, and for the first time, I couldn’t be there, but Hubby Dearest was there for her, which was wonderful!

Lil Man had his Sports Day on Thursday, a full on full day of sports, to which again, I couldn’t come, but Hubby Dearest managed to be there for.  He even took part in the Father’s Race, and won! (apparently there was some interesting acrobatics involved in his win too… Lil Man burst into my classroom, to tell me “Daddy won the race and he did somersaults!” Apparently he lost his balance right at the end and  more or less fell, gambolled, got on his feet again, and ended up first!!!! Classic! Oh he won’t live that down! The amount of people, staff, and parents who told me of his ‘impressive’ performance in the race was hilarious!  I wonder if anyone got a video??!! I would pay to see it!

And in my class, I arranged a mini sports day for my two little classes! We had a few games for them to go round in teams to play, and at the end they all got medals, and a certificate that I had created! It was the first time they had done this, so it was lovely! The kids really enjoyed themselves, and were so proud of their medals, as they left nursery, showing them off excitedly to their mummies and daddies as they were picked up!

I do love making those children smile, and be happy! I hope I can carry on doing that too! It kinda makes all the early starts, late finishes at school and late nights worth while!
