Watching You,Watching Me, Watching You

Our next door neighbour has a new kitty, Felix. He’s an outside cat, unlike our Sonu Singh, and nowadays,  he comes into our garden to have a run around. I’ve seen him hiding from me, chasing foxes around, and then there are the moments Sonu Singh and him have a stare off at the patio door…

Managed to grab a few stills on the iPad camera today…

I can see you…

Who? Me?

Yes, You!

I even took Sonu Singh  on his lead and though Felix ran further away, they stared at each other for ages! Though Sonu Singh wasn’t interested in chasing him… It’s a tad blustery today and he was intrigued with the way the grass was blowing back and forth! In fact he was afraid to put his paws on the wavey sea of green, happy to watch from the patio slabs! Scaredy cat!!!

When Harry Met Sally… And Ritu Saw Them!

Guess what I watched this morning? And can you believe I only watched it for the first time today?!

Well, I’ve seen bits, and that scene, obviously, but never the whole movie!

So, sat indoors today as the ‘monsoon’ rains hit Kent, I decided I would peruse the movie selection on Sky On Demand, and there it was.

Hubby was busy working, kids keeping themselves busy, so I pressed download and sat down to watch this epic movie.

How do I feel after? Hmmmm…. Well it was a lovely romantic film about two lost souls finally finding one another, and holding on. But the thought running through it the whole way… Men and women can never be friends… Is that true?

I have plenty of friends who are male, and there is nothing sexual about the relationships. I have friends who are like brothers, and friends who are genuinely mates. Plus I am in a secure and happy marriage, so there would be no place for anything else. I can even acknowledge that they are attractive, if that is the case, but I have no need to act on it.

And many of these male friends give me the respect of a sister, or treat me like one of the boys… Not like an object to fantasise over… I think!

What do you think? Can men and women be just friends?

But I Smile Anyway...

A friend indeed

My friends are my friends because I love them for who they are, not because I want to change them to be like me, or because I wish to be like them, but because they compliment me, as they are!

Friendly Boobs!!!

What kinda boob friend are  you?

Stand By Me – Thoughtful Thursday

We all need that support, that backbone behind us… For some it’s your family. For some your friends.

It may be one individual, it might be a group, a mixture of people, creating the support network you require.

Always try and be there for people you love too. Even though they might seem to have everything, and be happy, you never know when they might need a crutch… Just that little bit of support. And they might be the support you need one day in the future.

I’m not in any major need of support, as such, but knowing I have my Husband, parents and family right there, is all the reassurance I need to carry on every day, and on top of that, I have lots of aquaintances, but the friends who I hold close to my heart, are always there, at the end of the phone, or available for me to speak with them, if I needed it.

Just knowing that I have them all there, any time I need it, is enough for me to lead a fulfilled, happy life,

Oh, and the children’s hugs and smiles always help too!

Know that you have people behind you, (I’m one of them!) and be someone’s invisible support too, it’ll make you feel good. 😊
