Man Flu!

I’m waiting… It’s gonna happen… If me n the kids are sniffling, it’ll transfer to the Man of the House soon. Now while I still have to get up, deal with the day to day chores of a mum, including whiney unwell children, when it hits him Oh My God!!! It’ll be awful! The worst cold ever!!!

But I’ll relish in the relative peace of him still being ok yet. Lil Man has not yet reached Man Flu status, and to be honest, he’s not a complainer. He sneezes, he attaches a tissue to his nose and gets on with it.

But no… What was I thinking??! So what if Man Flu hasn’t reached the man yet?? It appears that my daughter has it instead!!

I knew it was coming with her… The whining started a couple of days prior to the sneeze-athon starting. Everything was just tooooooo much for her!! The world, which already apparently revolves around her, wasn’t moving exactly just she how wanted it to… And now it’s hit, the tissue box is never close enough… Sympathy needed 24/7… And strains of “Mummy, I’m not weeeeellllll!” follow me EVERYWHERE!!!

Please, does anyone know? Do they do these for whiney Lil girls??!!

You can tell its winter in our household…. well, you could tell it was the lead up to winter too!

I have been blessed with a Lil Princess who will pick up the slightest cold, cough or sniffle going, and then kindly pass it around, then when we think we’ve got rid of it, she catches it again!

Since October, I have been suffering a cold or cough, and today me and Lil Man are sporting seasonally Rudolph red noses… GREAT! I have over a week until our work Christmas evening out, wonder if I’ll shake it by then??!! Even Hubby Dearest was dosing up on the Beecham’s last night… no one’s safe!!!!!

And madam over here, of the germ spreading persuasion, is wheezing away with a bout of mild asthma thrown into the mix… Wonderful!!!

Oh well, here’s hoping any of you reading this have a healthy happy winter, and the Christmas holidays that are upon us soon, pass by with na’er a sneeze or tissue… (but I somehow doubt it!!!)
