#JusJoJan – January 25th, 2018 – Prediction

Day twenty-five of #JusJoJan!

I’m going to try to write on each of the prompts!

Today the prompt is:

Your prompt for January 25th 2018, brought to you by Dar, is “Prediction.” Use it any way you’d like in your post. And make sure you visit Dar at her blog, “Dar’s Words” to read her post and say hi! Here’s her link: https://darsword.wordpress.com/

Prediction

Are you a believer in those who say they can tell the future?

Do you find yourself drawn to your horoscopes in the morning, scanning your sign’s predictions for the day, and trying desperately to match the goings on in your life with whatever has been written in those fifty-odd words?

Maybe you’ve had your cards read, or your palm?

Or perhaps you are the one who pooh-pooh’s those ideas, saying no one can tell the future… a sceptic, who would never believe this.

I’m a bit of both. I read the daily horoscopes with humour, seeing how generally they are written, so they may appeal to pretty much anyone.

Yet, I have a fascination with the more traditional ways of predicting the future too.

I’ve had my astrological charts read by Indian astrologers (not me, my Pops instigated this), my cards read, my palm looked at, my handwriting analysed, and I have even been to a private clairvoyant.

All the readings have been interesting in their own way. Some things that were said to me have come true, some haven’t reared their head…yet. Some were amusing, some eye-opening.

But I don’t ever take these readings as gospel. They are always with a pinch of salt. I know that there is every chance that the person who has read for me, may not be genuine, but equally, I do believe that there is some out there with a true gift, and their words have truth in them.

Obviously, I’m not a psychic, I don’t know who is right and who is wrong, so I collect my predictions, and look over them a while later, seeing who got things right, and who didn’t… As I said, pinch of salt…!

Do you believe in any of the above?

See you tomorrow!

One-Liner Wednesday & #JusJoJan Day 24- #1LinerWeds – Count Your Blessings

“Count your blessings, not your eggs.” – Ritu

Sometimes we spend far too much time, getting excited over what may come to pass, rather than sitting back and appreciating what we already have.

Take time out today to be thankful for that roof over your head, that meal in front of you, the clothes and shoes keeping your warm and dry…

Be grateful that you can read, and write, that you have a voice that is listened to…

Appreciate the people in your life, the support network you already have…

Think about your blessings, and thank God/the Universe for what you have.

Peace out Peeps!

For Linda’s #1LinerWeds Challenge and #JusJoJan.

#JusJoJan – January 23rd, 2018 – Colour

Day twenty-three of #JusJoJan!

I’m going to try to write on each of the prompts!

Today the prompt is:

Your prompt for January 23rd 2018, brought to you by the kind, considerate and eloquently snarky  Supernatural Snark, is “Colour.” Use it any way you’d like in your post. And make sure you visit Snark at her blog, “Supernatural Snark” to read her post and say hi! Here’s her link: https://supernaturalsnark.wordpress.com/

Colour

What colour is your soul?
Pure as the driven snow
Or dark as the shadows of the night?
Does it glow bright,
Like the morning light
Or is it dim
Like covert sin?
Is it a rainbow
Reflecting every hue?
A complete picture
That is truly you.

#JusJoJan – January 22nd, 2018 – Liberty

Day twenty-two of #JusJoJan!

I’m going to try to write on each of the prompts!

Today the prompt is:

Your prompt for January 22nd 2018, brought to you by the friendly and nautically inclined Captain Jill, is Liberty.” Use it any way you’d like in your post. And make sure you visit Willow at her blog, “Capt Jill’s Journey” to read her post and say hi! Here’s her link: https://captjillsjourneys.wordpress.com/

Liberty

When I read the prompt, the first thing I thought of was Catherine Tate’s Nan character, who says (excuse the colourful language!) “What a f-ink liberty!” to anyone who is doing something she doesn’t approve of.

What is liberty though?

A state of freedom. A right or a privilege.

Yes, they are the real meanings, but more often than not, in today’s age, we talk about people taking liberties.

Expecting things to be there for them, or done for them, without much effort from themselves… Know a few of those….

Then I checked the Urban Dictionary and the top definition for Liberty was this:

Liberty
A stunning, well wishing, sweet, cute, amazing, funny, adorable, good hearted (I said that she was absolutely stunning right?) girl with every intention to make others happy. She’ll always is there for you when you’re feeling down to cheer you up. All the boys want her desperately.
Person1: Dude I’m so happy right now.
I got this girl who is so stunning.

Person2: Ah, damn you got yourself a Liberty your lucky

Did make me giggle!

See you tomorrow!

#JusJoJan – January 21st, 2018 – Silence

Day twenty-one of #JusJoJan!

I’m going to try to write on each of the prompts!

Today the prompt is:

Your prompt for January 21st, 2018, brought to you by my dear blog sis Willow, is Silence.” Use it any way you’d like in your post. And make sure you visit Willow at her blog, “Willowdot21” to read her post and say hi! Here’s her link: https://willowdot21.wordpress.com/

Thanks, Sis!

Silence

Silence can be truly golden.

It can show the peace, the spiritual sanctity of a blessed mind.

A place where there is no need for words or conversations, just a feeling of contentment.

But silence can also be harrowing.

Words that need to be spoken, yet left unsaid.

A waiting period where you don’t hear a thing…

Personally, I prefer an atmosphere with the quiet (not often!) chatter of my kids, the chirruping of my birds, the purring of my cat, and the presence of my Hubby Dearest. He’s not a man of many words, but knowing he’s by my side is enough…

When in the company of friends, I want to hear laughter, and meaningful conversation.

Silence… now I need that when I’m reading!!!

See you tomorrow!
