Ritu’s Healthy Eating – Week 47 – #icandothis

When I’ve been good, I’ve been really, really good.. when I’ve been bad, I’ve been really awful!

There were fruits, veg and salads… there were chocolates, cakes and ice creams!

And it won’t end there… we still have to celebrate Lil Man’s birthday properly, s there will be a meal out, and CAKE obviously too!!!

But what about my weigh in??

Well, tragedy struck when I realised on Wednesday, that my scales had died! And even my emergency pair were finished too! Dang!

I had to fit in an emergency pit-stop to the shops at lunchtime to pick me up a new pair ready for this morning! (Run = exercise – good thing!)

But with a new pair of scales you can’t be sure they are fully calibrated to be the same as your last. As I couldn’t hop from one pair to the other to see whether they weighed me the same, I was dubious. But my new all singing all dancing Weight Watcher scales (sorry Slimming World, I love you but you haven’t got your own scales!) tell me I was the same as last week!

I’ll take that! Better then these ones telling me I was actually a heifer!

So onwards, and hopefully not upwards!!!

Woe is me!

I have been a truly naughty girl this past week!

Although I guess I am allowed to celebrate after my Little ABBA’s Best Overall Blog win! ;P

But I have been eating, for England, and not all of it has been healthy! The scales have been shouting at me every morning, but I am rather scared of what it will say this morning!

Here is a selection of the foods I ate this week…

I didn’t eat dinner last night, but at a whole pack of biscuits and ice cream instead! I was craving sugar… and not the healthy kind…

And the painful result of this week….?

I put on 2lb!!!

I WILL get myself under control again, you wait and see Peeps!

Ritu’s Healthy Eating – Week 44 – #icandothis

Ok, so I had a pretty naughty week at the beginning of this weigh in week…

Out for dinner and drinks with friends…

I had to be extra good the rest of the week!

Then a colleague mentioned a 3 day British Heart Foundation diet. It is said to have been formulated to help overweight patients who need to lose weight for operations. You could apparently lose up to 10 lbs in three days! Now, Definitely didn’t want to lose that much! And I only had two days until my weigh in, so I had a go. I tweaked it a bit as I was not prepared to go hungry!

And… well, my weight stayed the same as last week!

So I am happy because I think, had I not had a go, I would have been heavier, most definitely!

Thing is, with the Bash tomorrow, I have been creating in the kitchen (I’ll post about that tonight!) and I have to sample…

Ritu’s Healthy Eating – Week 42 #icandothis

Another week, another load of lovely food, and a good few naughty treats too!

The weekly weigh-in showed… Oops! A gain of 1.5lb! But no worries, I am still under my self imposed target of 9 and a half stone!

And I am happy to say that, though my shoulder is hurting after it, I managed to get back to my bhangra class for the first time since my accident!!! I hope that a few weeks of dancing will help kick-start the next phase of my health kick, to include a little more exercise!

Ritu’s Healthy Eating – Week 41 – #icandothis

Another crazy week, busy, with eating on the hop!

But I managed another 1.5lb off!

I don’t quite know how that happened! I have been visiting the freezer rather a lot, eating Haagen Dazs and things like that too!

Also not sleeping well as my best friend is in labour, and has been since the early hours of Sunday morning… it is Friday now, and finally baby is thinking the pains can stop, and she is trying to bring this baby out into the world today and RIGHT NOW! Been constantly on alert, checking my phone for updates… that doesn’t help, when you a re tired you wanna snack too! OH God! Got the Alert! She has a GIRL!!!!!!

Aside from my news, my colleague recently joined Slimming World, and I am so proud of her, 5.5lb loss in her first week!

Right, I’m off to get happy about my new ‘niece’!
