Spidey’s Serene Sunday – Part 149 – #Christmas

“Peace on earth will come to stay, when we live Christmas every day.” –  Helen Steiner Rice

What a lovely thought Spidey!

Christmas every day!

It’s true though, isn’t it, we spread ‘peace on earth and goodwill to all men’ around the festive period, then it all disappears…

If we were to keep that thought as a constant, all year round, wouldn’t our world be a more wonderful place to live?

I’ll leave you with that, and get off to start some preparations for tomorrow’s dinner now!

Enjoy your Christmas Eve Sunday Peeps!!!!!

Great thought about a year-round Christmas. I am always puzzled by the people who willingly give at Christmas time to support the less fortunate ….. but the rest of the year? Do they ever ask themselves how those same less fortunate people manage after Christmas?

“Be the change you want to see happen” is often quoted. How simpler could it be? If we want everybody to have the basics of life, then we must be prepared to give towards that goal as the agencies/organizations that are on the front lines of the poverty/abuse wars need ongoing financial support. Of course our respective governments could offer them more support, but are we prepared to accept the reciprocal increase in taxes to cover the additional costs? Are we prepared to lower our standard of living just a little in order to help others?

Our world is far from perfect, and we all see areas that could be/should be changed so…….. “be the change that you want to see happen”. Set the example, and you may be surprised at the outcome.

To all Ritu’s followers, have a really wonderful time over this holiday period…. and have a truly awesome new year! 🙂

Yes, a quote I can completely relate to, Sis! Peace is not depending on a day of the year but on our decision to live it! Merry Christmas, my dearest sister 💖
