Spidey’s Serene Sunday – Part 70 – Father’s Day Special

‘I imagine God to be like my father. My father was always the voice of certainty in my life. Certainty in the wisdom, certainty in the path, certainty always in God. For me God is certainty in everything. Certainty that everything is good and everything is God.’ – Yehuda Berg

Spidey and I settled on this quote as a totally appropriate one for today, a special Father’s Day quote.

It encapsulates my feelings for my Pops totally. He is everything good that I see. A purity, soulfulness, spirituality, stability, all that makes life good.

A perfect father

To the Father of My Children

Wishing Happy Father’s day to my Pops wouldn’t complete the day for us…

I have a Father in law to say Happy father’s day to, but even more importantly, we have a daddy here in the house!

My Hubby Dearest, who has been the most amazing daddy to our two monkeys!

Fatherhood, like motherhood, and parenthood in general, is a tough job in itself. I know us mums feel that we are the ones who do all the running around, the disciplining, the, well, everything really, but I have to say, that Hubby is a fantastic father!

He has so much more patience with the children, than I do, probably because I am with them so much, and he isn’t around them constantly, so he can weather a few more niggles, and whiney episodes, or bickering matches.  Whereas me, well, the inner banshee gets unleased, especially if I’m tired, or trying to do my work!

And he’s the one who does the outside duty too. I’m not a play outside kinda person, to be honest, suffering from hay fever as it is, I’d rather be sat with a book, not batting a ball around, or pushing the bike… but he does that, and loves it so much! in fact, I wouldn’t want to take that from him, that’s his thing! That and football training, GOD I HATE FOOTBALL!

But no, he faithfully trudges out with Lil Man, and Lil Princess, whenever they want to go out, and with our furry child  Sonu Singh, he really does love him like another baby of ours. He takes him out in the garden, and helps him explore too!

We have days where he isn’t here due to work, and thank goodness for Skype, as the kids won’t sleep happily if they don’t see daddy!

So this is a huge thank you to the Daddy of my children, from me, and massive hugs, and squidgy kisses from the kids too!!!

We love you loads! Thanks for being Super Dad! ❤ ❤

A girl’s first love

One of my fave mommy blogs, The Champa Tree, asked me to write a guest post on the topic of Father’s Day, as it is fast coming up on Sunday 21st June. I hope you like it! 😊
