Spidey’s Serene Sunday – Part 157

“It’s not me, it’s you.” – Anon

Something to think about here, thanks, Spidey.

Often, we find ourselves in a situation, where we blame ourselves for difficulties, and worries that surround us.

It can eat away at us, sometimes causing us to change who we are.

There are times it is easier to say ” Sorry, it’s not you, it’s me…” when that is the exact opposite of the truth.

If we are to sit back and think about the situation, it can become apparent that we are not the ones in the wrong – they are – they just can’t see it.

At times like these, it is important to hold on to yourself, keep your faith in yourself, and keep it in your mind, that it’s not you, it’s them.

Don’t blame yourself for another person’s problem. Instead be there as a quiet support. In time they will realise their mistake, especially when they realise you are not bowing down to them.

Stay positive 🙂

Happy Sunday Peeps!

“When it rains, look for rainbows, when it’s dark, look for stars.” – Anon

Spectacular quote Spidey, and something I strive to share with you all every week!

It’s another form of that old adage – every cloud has a silver lining.

We are all going to be blessed with good times, and ‘cursed’ with the bad.

But in every situation, there is a positive.

It may be so hard to find, but if you look deep enough, it will shine for you, and you will realise it’s not a negative.

Find your rainbow, locate that star, and hold on to it Peeps, it’ll lead you to better days!

Happy Sunday Peeps!

“Be strong because things will get better. It may be stormy now, but it never rains forever.” – Anon

Something to think on, Spidey, thank you.

This quote really hit me as a truth.

Times in our lives come, where we think we can’t carry on.

Everything is against us.

It doesn’t matter what we do, it’s always wrong.

But the saying “We can weather the storm” reflects exactly that.

There is no storm on earth that goes on forever. There is always an end in sight, and if it’s worth it, ride it.

Hold on with both hands, and accept you may be slightly bruised and battered after, but you will come out the other side, and you will be stronger too.

Which situation did you think you’d never get through, but ultimately, has given you the strength to carry on?

“If you are facing in the right direction, all you need to do is keep on walking.” – Buddha

A lovely quote Spidey, thank you.

We are all too used to these quick-fix solutions nowadays.

In cleaning, rather than setting to with your sponges and scrubbing brushes, there are electric brushes, promising cleanliness miracles in seconds, and wipes to clean just about everything.

When you want to get a response to a question, you have your mobile – a text, or message via the numerous apps available means that you are able to contact people pretty much any time.

Why wait for that bus to come, when you can just Uber yourself somewhere?

We tend to think that there will be a lightning fast solution for everything in life.

But sometimes you have to just take each day one step at a time, knowing you are going to reach your destination, but that journey may take time.

Small steps in the right direction, are better than going off-piste, trying to rush to a conclusion that may end up not being what you wanted…

Persevere with your personal journey Peeps, and enjoy your Sunday !!!!!

What step will you take, to keep life going in the right direction, Peeps?

At one with a Malteser… #ThrowbackThursday

I’m back after my teacher training day. It was lovely, a school with no crazy kids! Peace around the corridors and time to sort displays and classrooms out.

In the last half an hour or so, I had a short course on mindfulness. It was interesting, all about clearing your mind, slowing down, and thinking of negative thoughts at buses, or clouds, that pass by, not them being all encompassing.

I chose to do this course because, I kid you not, there was a picture of a Malteser in the handout!

And, to my joy, there was Malteasers present too!! And we got to eat…one…after becoming one with that Malteser…

I had to pick one, hold it, really look at it, think about its appearance (round), smell it (chocolate), listen to it (heck, it’ll only crunch when you let me eat it!), feel it (melting, melting, it needs my mouth!) And taste it…mmmmmmmm!

Oh, it dissolved so beautifully! Melted in the mouth theoretically. In reality, it melted in my hand!

Then we had to meditate for 5 minutes… Now, I do know the benefits, after all, my Pops teaches yoga! But in a room full of people, susceptible to giggling fits that I am, and with an open bag of Malteasers in front of me, do you REALLY think I can concentrate my mind on my breathing??!!
