Organ grinder,
Won’t you stop
I feel that I’m
About to pop
The kids are tired,
The teachers too
So little time,
So much to do
A year’s gone by
We worked so hard
I’m so burned out
My body feels charred
Exhaustipated
From bottom to top
So Organ grinder, please…
Just stop!

Inspired by Ritu, of But I Smile Anyway, who is currently in the editing stages of her book!

Mischievous little dragon
Made his way onto the chair

On the desk, the author’s writings
Spread out, without a care

He wondered if she’d notice
If he added a line or two

But dragons don’t know how to write
He pondered, what he should do

Deciding he should try his hand
At a sentence, here or there

With a mighty breath, he blew
Now there’s fire, everywhere!

Whatever shall he tell her
When Mistress sees the mess

“I tried to fix your manuscript
I really must confess!

These scribbles made no sense to me
All I saw were smudges, nothing greater

So I decided to help rewrite the whole thing
I’m sure you’ll thank me for it later!”

Sue’s #WritePhoto Prompt this week:

As some of you are aware, I am on a little break this week, from intensive blog posts, and regular challenges (though, as usual, I find it hard to stay away!). I looked at Sue’s photo on Thursday and something niggled in my brain.

I looked at it again yesterday, and something came to mind… Nothing at all to do with shelter, but the mysterious creature that had appeared in the photo… did you spot it too?

Let me help you…

Look! I marked him out! He looks like a rather burned giant Gingerbread Man! Maybe he is looking for shelter from the Little Old Couple, the farm animals and the fox???!!! Not sure he’d be much fun to eat, being burned to a crisp though!

That is my silly thought for the week!
