With the spirit of #musicalmarch, we thought we’d go a bit Dharmic today, a bit spiritual.

“You should sit in meditation for 20 minutes a day, unless you’re too busy. Then you should sit for an hour.” Old Zen Saying

In my Sikh religion, Simran, or meditation, and singing of the Lord’s name is important. There are so many ways to do Simran, but one person who I really admire, is Veer Manpreet Singh. He travels the country and world to sing his version of a Simran, Tuhi Tuhi, and it is so relaxing. I have his app on my phone so I can listen to it and sing along whenever I want that peace.

Today Spidey will quote a fellow blogger, who commented on last week’s post. We both loved the words, and felt they needed sharing!

True love is not effortless. In order for it to last, you both need to put in the time and effort to keep it going.

It is ever changing, blossoming in different ways at each stage.

Each stage requires a different form of nurturing.

Love evolves when you’re with ‘The One’. Its face changes, your feelings morph, but as long as you are willing to move with it, change it, tend it, as Tony says, it will last a lifetime.

I love this quote.

I think we are all guilty of rabbitting on, but if we do stop to listen to those around us, we may indeed learn something, whether it just be knowledge or something of personal importance.

In an argument, we can only argue our own point, but sometimes, hard as it may be, if we listen to the other party, we may learn another perspective, showing that we are not always right.

If we listen to the innocent comments of children, we may garner a different perspective to our own jaded, mature one, with regards to many things.

So today Peeps, take the time to listen, as well as talk. It will do you good!
