That Geoffles, His Geoffleship to me, he’s a champion baker!

Last year at the ABBA’s, he brought an amazing amount of home baked treats for us all… put my Maltesers to shame!

Well, he’s been busy again this year… check his efforts out this year here!

But I decided (somewhat foolishly, considering I still need to teach/parent/wife before the Bash!) that I would bake a few bits and pieces too… It makes me happy be able to offer something, considering our amazing committee has put up so much for us to get together!

So here it all is!

They are all packed and ready to go… Heaven knows how I will be transporting all this with me lol!

Ok, so I had a pretty naughty week at the beginning of this weigh in week…

Out for dinner and drinks with friends…

Chinese takeaway for dinner…

I had to be extra good the rest of the week!

Then a colleague mentioned a 3 day British Heart Foundation diet. It is said to have been formulated to help overweight patients who need to lose weight for operations. You could apparently lose up to 10 lbs in three days! Now, Definitely didn’t want to lose that much! And I only had two days until my weigh in, so I had a go. I tweaked it a bit as I was not prepared to go hungry!

And… well, my weight stayed the same as last week!

So I am happy because I think, had I not had a go, I would have been heavier, most definitely!

Thing is, with the Bash tomorrow, I have been creating in the kitchen (I’ll post about that tonight!) and I have to sample…

Carrot cake! At least there is vegetable in there!

I don’t do politics, me.

It’s always been a grey area for me. I haven’t read manifestos, or looked into parties beliefs too much.

But…

I have always voted. Whatever my parents were thinking was cemented into my system.

And it’s worked so far!

But this is the first year I have been totally flummoxed.

The party I would normally vote for… I’m not sure. The country is in such a mess, in so many ways, politically. And I see how much a wrong decision from us now, will affect us all, at every level, from family life, to work life, and with general worldwide issues too. Each party has at least one thing I 100% agree with, then there is are things I 100% disagree with too!

Who to choose???

So, I am heading off early today to go and place my vote… whichever way that may be!

And for those of you out there hedging bets, and not bothering to vote… DO IT!

Remember Brexit?

Many were unhappy with the outcome, because so many didn’t actually vote! It’s all well and good debating the pros and cons at home, but if you aren’t going to use your vote, why bother discussing!

It’s not just your future, it’s the future of your children too!
