Spidey’s Serene Sunday – Part 92

wp-1477780170436.jpg

“You don’t need someone to complete you. You only need someone to accept you completely.” – Anon

Seeing as it’s our anniversary weekend this weekend, Spidey found something that kinda ties in with that.

A true thought.

Why do we spend so much time trying to find that missing piece? That one person who will make us feel whole?

It is really a wild goose chase, as we are already whole. Each of us is different, and we’re made up differently physically, as well as emotionally. As much as we look different, we act differently too.

That’s what makes us unique, who we are.

Something I always like to say is that “We are all imperfectly perfect, in our own way.”

Within each of us there is something amazing.

But there is often something not quite so nice lurking in there too.

Love, be it romantic, familial, or friendship, is all about acceptance. If you love someone, you love them for all their flaws, as well as their perfections.

And if they truly love you back, they are accepting you, just as you are.

I am by no means perfect. Heck, ask my Hubby Dearest! But then neither is he!

We have our arguments and bickering sessions, as well as sickening displays of full-on love and affection.

He loves my curly hair, and hates it when I want to get it cut.

He isn’t a big fan of social media, yet he knows it is something that helps me, with my blog and writing, and keeping up with my countless family members!

He’d rather rush in and out of the shops, and can’t understand when I chatter away to people.

But these are just things that are part of me. And he totally accepts them, just like I accept him for who he is, and what he is.

I was me before, I am still me now. Complete. But with an amazing extension attached, that is ‘him’! (And vice versa!)

Have a happy Sunday Peeps!

Enjoy your day, and be complete!!

#SoCS Nov. 19/16 – Yes

Linda’s SoCS prompt this week…

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: β€œyes.” Use it as a word, use it in a word, extra points if you start and finish your post with it. Enjoy!

Yes

That’s how it started. A simple answer to a simple question.

Nearly twenty years ago, we met. And fifteen years ago yesterday, we finally officially said ‘Yes‘ to each other.

Over the years there have been many ‘yesses’ and numerous ‘nos’ too!

I seem to utter an awfulΒ not of nos to my kids!

But they manage to twist them into ‘Yesses’ somehow… the gift of the gab!

Marriage is tough. There are plenty of occasions to enjoy together, and an equal amount of situations that create tension. We’ve had our ups and downs.

But if anyone was to ask me if I would do it again, I’d answer in a heartbeat.

Yes!”

Ritu’s Healthy Eating – Week 15 #icandothis

wp-1477781949515.png

Well hello, Peeps!

Another week done, another achievement!

I have been good all week, knowing that today was our anniversary, and I plan to be naughty all weekend… foodwise, silly!

And it paid off!

So tonight we went out to TGI Friday’s for dinner with the kids, and I ordered whatever I wanted, with an ice cream cocktail too! And I had a glass of bubbly before we left!

And the loss…

Another 1lb! 138lbs now!

2016-11-18_06-51-51

So that is 15lb with SW, and cumulative 20lbs since I started this whole healthy eating kick!

And I hit my Club 10 target with SW today too! Club 10 is when you lose 10% of your starting body weight, and today I did that too!

And I know at least one of you wanted to see some photographic evidence that something is happening.

I am not in the habit of taking photos of my flab, but if you see the picture below, the May photo is the one that spurred me on to actually lose weight! My bloated face horrified me, and the Dr’s scale measurement even more so! The next two photos show me more recently, and today, where hopefully you can see the change in my face!

Have a wonderful weekend Peeps! My celebrating is still going on this weekend, so I won’t be surprised with a gain next week!

TJ’s Household Haiku – Drift

TJ’s haiku prompt this week,

Drift

Another prompt where I realised I had a great photo! A couple of years ago we were playing at the park along the River Thames in our town. Lil Man had a new football to play with… but not for long! A hard, powerful kick sent the ball soaring into the water, and the current was pretty strong, carrying the ball away forever… drifting off into the sunset!

Unable to save
Little sphere floating away
Set adrift somewhere
