“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” – C.S. Lewis

Well, here it is. The last Sunday of 2018.

Where did that year go? Seriously, it has flown by and I can’t quite believe it.

It’s been eventful in so many ways, with work and stress, family and stress, writing and stress… I think you get the gist of what I am saying. 2018 was filled with a whole lot of stress for me, but there were many good points too.

My dream for next year is to be able to take more time for me.

So I don’t fall into the stress potholes of life so easily.

So I can deal with work issues without worry.

So I can handle the inevitable ups and downs of family life calmly

So I can really work on this writing malarkey and fulfil one of my biggest dreams…

That’s my wish for you all too. More time for self care so you feel refreshed for your daily lives. ❤

So… tell me, what new dreams are you hoping to realise in 2019?

Have a peaceful Sunday Peeps  And enjoy your New Year’s Celebration! Wishing you a prosperous 2019 ❤

Spidey’s Serene Christmas Sunday – Part 201 –

“For me, Christmas is about family, loving, forgiveness, compassion, understanding and comradery.” – Anthony Mackie

What a perfect thought for our pre Christmas post, Spidey!

To me that is all that encompasses Christmas, truly.

I hope you all have a wonderful family, and love filled Christmas, Peeps!

merry christmas

Spidey’s Serene Sunday – Part 200

Wow Spidey! You’ve hit your bi-centenial post! Who’d have thought that a child’s figurine, found in a cross-legged position a few years ago would have led to 200 posts?!

When the ‘I’ is replaced by ‘we’ even ‘illness’ becomes ‘wellness’ – Anon

And what a lovely bit of wisdom you have found for this week! Quite apt for my family and I this week.

We have all been struck down by the dreaded Christmas lurgy… The kids are coughing, my nose is streaming, Hubby is the same. We are keeping the tissue business afloat, I think!

But we are not suffering alone. We are together. And pulling each other through this period of feeling bleurgh…

And isn’t it true, that if, when you are unwell and feeling miserable, a little company can really cheer you up!

Heres hoping we can shift this yuckiness before the Christmas week starts, so we can really enjoy our holidays!

So… tell me, any tried and tested remedies to share?

“Nothing can dim the light that shines within you.” Maya Angelou

There are times in life when everything seems to be trying to beat your enthusiasm out of you.

At work, you are being confronted by problem after problem, at home the kids have all ganged up and decided to have massive tween/teen meltdowns at the same time, and your partner is not being supportive, or is having his or her own issues…

Nothing seems to be going your way.

But no matter what is happening, you have to hold tight to that flame of hope and positivity that shines within you.

Don’t allow it to be dimmed, as the great Maya Angelou says, or put out. It’s the one thing that will guide you to a better time and place.

So… tell me, how can you let your light shine brighter?

“Christmas is forever, not for just one day. For loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away.”

Norman Wesley Brookes

Well thank you Spidey for a festive thought there!

I’m not Christian, but I do love Christmas. I thoroughly enjoy the festivities, The feeling of joy and happiness that tends to emanate from most corners of the land.

There is that feeling of peace. An acceptance. You are more likely to see a smile from a stranger (unless you are both eyeing the last turkey in the store, when goodwill might not win!) rather than a grimace.

But wouldn’t it be wonderful if that was the way the world was at all time?

Sure, we pack away our Christmas decorations and stop playing the cheesy Christmas songs, but we can still be giving and loving, every day, can’t we?

So… tell me, what is your favourite part of the festive season, that you would want to keep all year round?
