15 Years Married

Fifteen years ago today, I woke extra early.

I was primped and preened to perfection and dressed as a bride… your bride.

Five years, we had been waiting, to make this official, and finally the day was here.

It flew.

A magical day where I felt like a Princess, finally swept off her feet by her Prince Charming.

And the last fifteen years have flown equally fast.

Two beautiful children, one fur baby, our own home, and each other.

What more could I want?

Nothing more.

Just many more years, like the ones we have already spent together.

Wishing a Happy 15th Anniversary to my darling Hubby Dearest. I love you soooooo much, and feel blessed to have you by my side 💖

It’s Our Anniversary!

This time 14 years ago, I rose at the crack of dawn. I was escorted to the bathroom to begin my day. A very special day. My wedding day. The day that so many girls out there dream of.  And I was about to live my dream. I had found my Prince Charming, and now we were about to make it official! The lovely beautician arrived to transform me into a Princess, and after all the ceremonies, I took that final journey in my Pop’s car as a single woman.  No fancy car for me, thank you very much! My Pop’s car had been good enough for me all those years, it would be the perfect mode of transport to my wedding too!

And so the journey began.. within a few hours we had taken the auspicious rounds, the Lawan,  around the Guru Granth Sahib, and we were finally Man and Wife.

Fast forward 14 years and here we are, still together, still as much in love as we were then  We have a lovely home, two beautiful children and one gorgeous fur baby. We have family on both sides that support us, and we have many years ahead of us too…

So on this day, the 18th November, I want to say to my Hubby Dearest,

Happy Anniversary baby! Thank you for putting up with me and my quirks. We have always been there for each other, and I know we will continue to be there too.

I look at our children and feel truly blessed, we did good there you know! Even though they can be pretty annoying at times!

14 years… Cheers! Here’s to many, many more! Love you, my darling!

I am  an incredible wife!

It’s true!

A Facebook quiz told me!

Well that sounds absolutely like me, spot on! (Not sure hubby Dearest would necessary agree with it all though!)

Take the quiz here if you want to know how incredible… Or otherwise, you are!!!!

And don’t you forget it!! 😁😁

Well, I can’t continue this blog without telling you about the most key person in my life for the last 17 years at least… My wonderful husband and soulmate.

We met at university, and it was pretty much apparent from the beginning, that this was it, we were in it for the long haul! From the moment I saw him, I knew there was ‘something’ about him, and as I got to,know him, it was just confirmed, this guy was my Mr Right, my Mr Forever…

As I mentioned before in my post about my Precious Pops, whoever came into,my life would have a tough act to follow, but I can proudly say, my husband has more than filled the spot. Kind, loving, caring, generous, brooding, honest, frustrating at times, but he’s all mine!

He had a big task ahead of him, getting to know my HUGE family to start off with, so I had him in training, armed with a large photo album before he even met my crazy clan! (It can take years…even I get co fused sometimes, and it’s MY family!) but he’s done it!

Telling my parents was not hard, as I knew they’d love him, in fact the first time I described him to Mum, she had decided she loved him already, and Pops, bless him was just happy I was happy!

Fast forward 17 years… So now we’re married with our own home and 2 children… It’s never going to be a totally smooth ride is it? Yes we argue, disagree, we don’t always see eye to eye on every issue. But who does?
Still the moments of happiness, and love totally outweigh these times, and it’s true, that saying,

“Everyone wants Happiness,
Without all the pain,
But you can’t have a rainbow
Without a little rain.”

He’s been my rock in times of sadness and pain, he’s held my hand and been with me through our babies births, celebrated happiness with me, surprised me, made me laugh, made me cry (with joy)… He is my everything, and I know my life would be incomplete if he wasn’t with me.

Love you babe! … In case you didn’t know!

(Oh, and did I mention, he’s my Source of Eternal Youth, my younger other half… Well, you’re only as young as the man you feel eh!!)

My interactive peeps!
