#JusJoJan – January 15th, 2018 – Justice

Day fifteen of #JusJoJan!

I’m going to try to write on each of the prompts!

Today the prompt is:

Your prompt for January 15th, 2018, brought to you by the lovely Barb, is “Justice.” Use it any way you’d like in your post. And make sure you visit Barb at her blog, “Gallimaufry” (sounds good to me!) to read her post and say hi! Here’s her link:  https://barbct.wordpress.com/

Thanks, Barb!

Justice

What is justice?

Is it the act of seeing balance restored?

Combatting an act of evil, with a suitable punishment?

Or is it a more acceptable word to use to describe revenge?

A legal way to see a person brought to rights?

That’s it, my thoughts on Justice!

See you tomorrow!

#JusJoJan – January 14th, 2018 – Ultimatum

Day fourteen of #JusJoJan!

I’m going to try to write on each of the prompts!

Today the prompt is:

Your prompt for January 14th, 2018, brought to you by a new-to-me blogger, Itinerary Planner, is “Ultimatum.” Use it any way you’d like in your post. And make sure you visit Itinerary Planner at her blog, “Travel Itineraries: Travel the World for Less” (sounds good to me!) to read her post and say hi! Thanks, Itinerary Planner!

Ultimatum

There are times in life when you reach a stalemate.

Things are going neither here nor there.

You are stuck.

Maybe it is within a relationship, or at work. It could be an argument with a friend or a landlord.

It could even be an internal issue, where you are almost battling with yourself and not able to make your mind up.

This is where an ultimatum could come into play.

That whole, “Right, either this, or that,” kind of choice, is sometimes the only way you can move forward in life.

Ultimatum – seems such a harsh word, but you probably use them so often, you don’t realise that you are doing it. To the kids ” Right, either you eat your broccoli or there’s no computer games tonight!”; to your partner “You drink that next beer, and there’ll be no nookie for you tonight!”.

Okay, so they are tame examples, but types of ultimatums.

The more serious ones, regarding a job, or a relationship, financial demands, live or die…. they are out there too.

Sometimes the only way to move forward in a situation is to issue an ultimatum, Or to be the one making the choice.

And often, the choice made may not be the one you were secretly hoping for, but once it’s done, there can be closure for that situation.

It can feel like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders…

See you tomorrow!

Spidey’s Serene Sunday – Part 152

img_00411

“It’s amazing. Life changes very quickly, in a very positive way, if you let it.” – Lyndsey Vonn

A lovely quote Spidey, thank you.

This quote is all about keeping a positive mindset, a favourable outlook towards life.

Have you not noticed, that when you are feeling down, slightly negative about situations, it seems that the bad stuff appears to happen more?

Yet those people who brim with positivity sometimes seem to have everything fall into place for themselves?

I think both positivity and negativity are like magnets.

They are a type of energy within you and depending on what you radiate out, you will attract back.

This is why I always try so hard to keep a positive spin on whatever is happening in life. It’s not easy. Believe me, there are times when I have wallowed in the depths of negativity and felt nothing will ever be right again, then something shines forth, and beckons me to the positive side again.

Maybe because I am open to thinking positively, I see that glimpse, and it helps to bring me out of a potentially damaging funk.

It only takes one spark to light a fire. Let that spark light a flame of positivity in your life too.

Stey positive Peeps and enjoy your Sunday !!!!!

If there is something troubling you, a situation you are uncomfortable with, take the time to find a positive within it. You can write it in the comments below, or store it away in your heart, the spark that will keep your positivity fire burning.

#SoCS Jan. 13/18 – #JusJoJan Day 13 – Random!

Linda’s prompt for SoCS this week…

Your prompt for #JusJoJan and Stream of Consciousness Saturday is as follows: read closely. When you’re ready to sit down and write your post, look to the publication (book, newspaper, a permission slip from your kid’s teacher, whatever you find) closest to you, and base your post on the sixth, seventh, and eighth word from the beginning of the page. Enjoy!

I had no written things in front of, or around me when I sat down, so I looked on my phone and my Facebook was on. The first notification was what I counted as my reading material, so the words I got were ‘Big Up Your’! Oo-er!

Okay, so I could just write about the fantastic group Big Up Your Blog that I am a proud member of, seeing as that was what the notification was about… but that would be too easy!

Big Up Yourself
Because there are times no one else will.
And if you lose faith in yourself
How will you ever convince others
That you are worth it?

That’s it for me today!

Happy Saturday Peeps!
