It’s Monday.

Current feeling!
And as with most Mondays, it’s back to school.
But different from others, it’s a Monday after an impromptu week off, not only for me with my arm, but the rest of the staff and pupils too because of the snow.
This shall be sweet chaos I am sure…
No one will have anything planned and ready for a Monday, as is usually the case.
The kids will be wild. They will want to tell us all they got up to, but equally, they won’t want to be back at school. I know the feeling. I’d rather be home too!
Still…

And added to the back to work bit, it is time for my in-laws annual trip back to the Motherland, so that means juggling plenty so that I am able to be there for the kids at the end of the day.
Usually (I am lucky), I drop my son to his grandparents and he walks to his secondary school, then walks home to them. My father in law picks up my daughter, so she isn’t hanging around until I finish at 5-5.30 pm.
But it’ll be a tad different the next 7 weeks!
Eek!
I’ll still be around, (oh you won’t get rid of me that easily!) but possibly more fraught than usual!
Oh, and FYI, the arm… It still hurts… but I will survive!

Happy Monday Peeps! And have a fantastic week!

A second entry into the Annual Bloggers Bash writing competition – a piece used for Charli Mills Writing prompt too!
βIt is a worry indeed, Your Majesty, yes. Weβve had to sack three of them this year, and getting decent replacements, well that is an increasingly tough task.β
Beefeater Chambers looked out of the window, whilst speaking to the Queen on the Royal telephone.
The requirement was six ravens to be guarding the Tower of London at any one time, or the Tower and Kingdom would fall, and this new generation, well they were useless.
They didnβt have the spunk of their ancestors, calling in sick all the time, too busy posing for the tourists and Instagram selfies.
Really!

“Kindness is like snow. It beautifies everything it covers.” – Khalil Gibran
Well, we had to think about snow this week, didn’t we Spidey!
Having been stuck inside pretty much all week, not only because I was signed off with my arm injury, but because we got a whole lotta snow, courtesy of The Beast from the East at the beginning of the week, and Storm Emma at the tail end, snow just had to figure.
And this was just a perfect quote.
When you look outside and see the blanket of white covering the world, even the ugliest of scenes is transformed into a thing of beauty.
Equally, a drop of kindness into a puddle of unhappiness can make such a difference to a person.
Your simple smile or hello could change the thoughts of a person in the depths of loneliness. An offer to help out with someone’s shopping bags, or popping over to a neighbour in bad weather, to make sure they are okay, it all casts a brighter light on the other person’s day.
Random Acts of Kindness – something that spread like wildfire a couple of years back.
Why should it be simply a hashtag, a phase?
We should try to drop these acts of kindness every day.
They should really be second nature, not a deeply thought out act.
Kindness is in us all.
It is not something that has to cost money. Just a little time and energy. And believe me, you’ll feel richer yourself for helping someone.
Go on – make someone happy today, what kind act will you perform? In fact, not just today, everyday!
Stay positive π
Happy Sunday Peeps!
