“Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations” – Unknown

How often do we find ourselves in a situation where the next big life decision involves a fork in the road.

You need to choose which road to follow.

More often than not, one path will be simple, and the other filled with some sort of obstacles along the way.

Fearing what difficulties we may have to endure, we may opt for the simple route.

The easy way out.
The path of least resistance.
The path where nothing really changes.

But let’s face it, most of us have a dream, are hankering for something special to happen.

Thing is, these dreams, they don’t just come true by you wishing for them. You need to put some graft into achieving them too.

That’s where that difficult path comes into play.

You must always remember that those unfamiliar routes, tough journeys, involve elements which will strengthen you as a person, and prepare you for the chance that your dream may actually come true!

But if you choose the easy way, your dream will still be there… but that is all it’ll ever be.

So go out there Peeps, and think, if some difficulty arises ahead of you, it’s nothing to fear, but from it will only come something that will help you on your way to achieving your dreams.

Happy Sunday Peeps!

“Be yourself. Everyone else is taken” – Anon

It is so easy, in this day and age, to try and emulate famous names, or strong characters who are around us regularly.

Not just characteristics, and mannerisms, or even clothes and makeup looks. Nowadays having plastic surgery to look like someone is not uncommon.

I’m sure many of us have been to the hairdresser, and requested a haircut like a specific star, like that Jennifer Aniston look of the 90’s!

But think seriously for a second.

Why be like someone else? Be yourself!

It’s not necessary to wear high fashion or certain trainers. you don’t have to control your laughter, just because it’s not ‘cool’ to laugh at certain things.

Do it. As long as you are not hurting anyone else, be true to yourself. If you are true to yourself, your inner beauty will shine through. Genuine people exude a totally different light to those who don’t really have their own personality.

If there is one thing you do today Peeps, it is this. Do something because you want to do it. Wear something because you like it.

Be True To You!

Happy Sunday Peeps!

“Smile in the mirror. Do that every morning and you’ll start to see a big difference in your life.” – Yoko Ono

Thanks for this one Spidey.

It’s a reminder I feel a heck of a lot of people I know could do with right now.

If you know me, you’ll know that I seldom have anything but a smile on my face. I rarely plaster foundation and cosmetics on my face, my makeup is my smile.

And as long as I have a smile on my face, there is so much in life that feels easier to deal with.

I’m not a total dreamer though. I know that having a smile plastered on your face 24/7 is not going to magically make all problems disappear.

In fact, many of those that have a smile regularly, are often those who are going through a lot in the background of their life, but like a clown, that smile masks everything else.

It’s true of me too. Life is seldom smooth sailing. There is always something bubbling away in my mind, but for me, facing life with a smile really does help.

It’s also good exercise, you know! We use more muscles to smile than to frown!

And a smile is often contagious. If you beam at someone, or give a little smile, you’ll often receive one in return, or if you don’t you may have given someone a little spark of positivity that they will hopefully allow to ignite into a full smile a bit later!

I found a lovely article here on some facts about smiling. Be sure to check it out!

So make sure you smile Peeps, at yourself, and at others. It’ll make for a better day! 🙂

“Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, “I will try again tomorrow.” – Mary Anne Radmacher

Spidey was obviously thinking of my Lil Man when he found this quote, on this fine Sunday.

Those of you that regularly read my blog will know that last week passed with plenty of drama in his little life. After a nasty hit on the head the previous Thursday, by a football, he was suffering concussion. As it was a hit to the same place he had managed to get concussed from 2 years ago, it was a little bit of a worry.

He was in a lot of pain every day.

But credit where credit is due. Every night he would be the positive one, saying “I’ll see tomorrow mummy, I want to go to school.”

Every morning he would wake, eat breakfast and try to get ready, before he admitted that it hurt too much.

On Thursday, I was going to call the school and say that we would just leave him off for the week, and try again on Monday.

He stopped me and said “No mummy, I still want to try to go to school tomorrow.”

I was so proud of him this week. Seriously.

Despite being unwell, he was a true soldier and attempted to get himself ready, before admitting defeat.

I know plenty of people who would milk an injury or illness for all it’s worth, and if the doctor says a week or two of rest, well they would just take if, even if they only needed a day or two!

But not my boy!

So we will see what Monday holds for him. If today is anything to go by, he will be fine!

But it is a lesson for us all, to never stop trying, or hoping that things will get better.

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday my dear Peeps!
