Have you grabbed a fresh brew, ready for a catch up?

- If we were sipping chai together I’d start off by saying “Hi!” and giving you a huge hug!
- If we were sipping chai together I’d tell you I have been very good with my ‘Self’ intentions this week. I have spent time on myself, having bubble baths, and reading. I have continued to pursue my dream, signing up to a writers course, and starting the first module. I have even finished my big reread/rewrite/edit/tweak mission!
If we were sipping chai together I’d mention that I am a little confused now, as to what to do next. I have to make the decision. Do I go chasing representation and an agent for the traditional publishing experience? Or do I knuckle down and head out on the Indie highway? I am preparing for both, with my Writers and Artists Yearbook, and The Indie Author Mindset book by my side, to help me along… what would you do? These decisions will make it easier for me to decide if I need to get professional editing or critiquing done, or whether I leave that to the agents… - If we were sipping chai together I’d let you know that school has been hectic as usual, but fun too. We are still operating on our emergency staffing structure whilst my colleague is on long term sickness, and it’s taken me out of the Nursery loop a little more, which I don’t like, but I am getting more involved with Reception in a way that I feel more confident there. Who knows what next academic year will bring…?
- If we were sipping chai together I’d let you know that the kids are still more than happy with their newly moved around rooms and that they have kept them relatively tidy… (with my help). But they are not happy about tutoring! We decided to engage with someone to help them with Maths, as it isn’t my strong point, and Hubby Dearest, though he is good, doesn’t always know the newer methods in place for various topics. They didn’t do homework in the holidays which led to much moaning at the last minute, followed by “It’s no good anyway, why do we have to go?” comments on a loop… but they went. No choice. They just need to get their confidence with basic number skills up, then I’ll be happy!
- If we were sipping chai together I’d tell you that Lil Princess has a new challenge for herself. She wants to draw Mickey Mouse every day to better herself, and is indulging in a spot of brush lettering too!
- If we were sipping chai together I’d sigh with relief and tell you that Pops and Mum now finally have heat, hot water and electricity! It was a hard three weeks for them, and for us, sat so far away! But now they have issues with their digital tv provider, Sky, which Hubby Dearest is trying to sort out… Always something!
- If we were sipping chai together I’d ask you if you are proud of me. Why? Because I managed a whole week of blogging without accidentally posting more than my intentions of two post a week until I am happy with my manuscript!!!
- If we were sipping chai together I would mention that upon browsing my stats, and checking out the new WP colours, I saw that I am nearing world domination! The map of the world shows there are not many places left where someone hasn’t checked out this blog!

- If we were sipping that chai together, and possibly reaching for cake or cookies I’d tell you my teaching observation, which got delayed before Christmas, is finally looming and that I have that to look forward to on Wednesday!
- If we were sipping that chai together, and possibly reaching for cake or cookies I’d tell you that the in-laws have decided on their dates for the annual Motherland trip, so I am now trying to organise care for certain times of the day, and certain dates where I am either teaching, parent evening or training! Fun and games.
- If we were sipping that chai together, and possibly reaching for cake or cookies I’d tell you I hope to have decided my next steps for the manuscript too!
Have a great week Peeps! ❤
