Sue’s #WritePhoto prompt this week:

“You do it!” Pete whispered.
“No, you do it!” Tom replied.
“Oh for goodness sake, I’ll do it!” Jake pushed himself forward. These other two were a total bunch of chickens! The three of them had been messing around in the woods behind the park, and they had ventured a little further afield than before, and managed to get a little lost.
As they wound their way around, trying to retrace their steps, the boys managed to go deeper rather than get closer to the park again.
The darkness was starting to fall. It was already late when they decided to go into the woods, and now, as the trees started to take on a sinister look, they realised they were in trouble.
Tom took out his phone to call home, but the signal was nil. The same with Pete’s and Jake’s phone. At least they could use the phones as torches.
As they slowly ventured through the eerie trees, they spotted a small wooden building It was like a little grey-stoned house, with an old wooden door, and there was light coming from a window. A plume of smoke drifted out of a chimney pot.
They stumbled over roots to get to this door. Surely there was someone there to help them.
The closer they got, the more apparent it was that this was no ordinary house. The pathway up to the door seemed to be lined with bones, but with the reducing light they couldn’t be sure…
Tom and Pete began to panic, and wanted to step back. This was where Jake stepped up.He raised his hand and hesitated before taking the rather creepy looking knocker in his hand and banging it cautiously.
It seemed an age before heavy footsteps were heard, and the door slowly creaked open…

It’s exciting!
The ABBA’s are around the corner!
Who will I get to meet again? Who will I meet for the first time?
What will I wear??
Well, I managed to solve that one already!
I placed an order for some business cards… get me! All professional, like!
And then I ended up with a Personalised tee-shirt too!
And there was the offer of a personalised card holder… couldn’t resist!
That’s me sorted! I can mingle, chat and network at the same time!

Cards AND tee-shirt, woohoo!
Now, it’s a great tee and all that, but I’m more of a v-neck gal, and there wasn’t the option to buy v-neck. I am also not really a sewer, so after a virtual trip to YouTube, I made my own!

Excuse the creases but yay! I like it much better now!
And not to be selfish, the cat got the box!
WRITESPIRATION COMPETITION #118 52 WEEKS IN 52 WORDS WEEK 22 – Super-Bad Villains!
31 May 2017 15 Comments
in #Writespiration, Thoughts Opinions & Memories Tags: #Writespiration, Blog, Blog Post, Blogger, Blogging, Competition, Superbad, Villain
Sacha has introduced a twist this week, with her #Writespiration prompt… read on to find out!

Write a piece of fiction with the most superbad villain you can in exactly 208 words.
Because this competition will run for four weeks, and writespiration this year is 52 words in 52 weeks, I’ve added all four weeks word counts together. So you will have EXACTLY 208 words to write this story/villainous piece of flash.
What am I looking for?
A seriously kick-ass villain. That’s it. It can be a short story, poetry, flash, or even an excerpt from an unpublished story. But it has to be about a villain and it must be 208 words exactly.
How To Enter:
Send your entry with your name, website (if you have one) email address, twitter handle if you have one, postal address for the signed copy to sachablack@sachablack.co.uk
Your entry piece should be in a word document, with a title. Please note, the title is not included in the 208 words.
Ok, so I am not the best villainous writer, but here is my take!
Serena’s Secret
Pushing the final bolt in place, Serena turned and leant against the door.
Finally, she would be able to get to the bash, and claim that award for herself.
There was a banging on the door. “Let me out! Serena! Please! I need to get to London in the next hour!”
“Sorry…” She whispered to the door as she turned on her heels.
The train left at 8.32am.
Sitting in the rocking carriage, she thought back to the day she realised that there was a big chance she wasn’t going to win.
She had been contacting all her friends, telling them to vote for her, and had even made an arrangement with several local businesses who had a plethora of computers. Vote for her and she would offer them free advertising on her blog!
Typical that her main competition happened to be her sister, that they had been put up against each other, and that she has overheard some of Serena’s conversations… She had threatened to tell the organisers about the cheating, and there was no way Serena could risk all her hard work…
Oh well, if Maria couldn’t be there, she would be unable to grass her up.
Meanwhile, Maria took her phone out to call Sacha…
