You know that time you really need to go… And you’re almost pulling your pants down still, as you relieve yourself, with a huge sigh?

Well. I guess this is Sonu Singh’s version… He was so desperate to go, he left his tail hanging outside his portaloo!!!

Enjoying a scritch!

Yes… No… Maybe…? I don’t know!

A friend posted on Facebook about the British Government’s decision to plan air strikes over Syria, and she just simply put  “no likes, no comments, other than agree or disagree…”

Made me think.

I’m so not into politics, but this whole war against ISIS affects us all.

My first thought was …

Of course we should get over there, bomb the terrorists and show them what we think! Yes!!!!! Agree!!

Then I thought, and I changed my reply…

What about all those innocents who will be killed in the midst of hoping that we are striking an ISIS stronghold? That is certainly not fair…

As I scrolled down other people’s views there was a lone ‘sitting on the fence’. I didn’t change mine but…

Do I really want to be sat in the midst of World War 3? After all this is where it’s all headed, isn’t it? I’m no politician, I can’t make these decisions, but when I see things on the news, and I see my son, Lil Man, an impressionable 10 year old, who is starting to understand the implications of these happenings, watching, with concern, then turning to me to ask ” Mummy, are we going to war?” I really don’t want all this fighting, killing and bombing.

Of course we want peace. We want any religious extremists to not be there, killing in the name of God, a God who has never condoned the taking of lives. We want these people to either change, or not be there.

But we don’t want bloodshed.

Who wants their children to be brought up in a time of war, fearing everything, because we don’t know when they are going to retaliate, and when they do, because you know they will, where these retaliations will take place?

God only knows the right decision… I, for one, really don’t.

Spammmmmmmm!!!!

It seems that I have been being relegated to many spam folders in the last few months… Not sure why, but Akismet decided to pick and choose when I was more spam-like and put me in the spam folders!!

A lovely man called Nick has been looking into it, as my innocent comments are most definitely not spam!!!! And I know they seem to be working better now, but please if any of you have not checked your spam folders, p,ease do, it seems many of us innocent commenters get mysteriously swooshed away to spam for no apparent reason! I know I clogged up Geoffles’s spam folder, when he want to check!

If I still go to your spam, please let me know, and if I’m there… Please release me!!!!!!

FFF #23 – Pure Imagination

I can’t believe I’ve been FFF-ing so long! We’ve hit 23 weeks now since Matt at The Book Blogger stsrted this challenge, where we get a prompt song to write a 100 word flash fiction piece.
This week it is a cover of the track Pure Imagination, by Fiona Apple…
Made famous in the original Willy Wonka film, it’s a true favourite of mine!

Check out the prompt here.

Totally broken, I came out of the school.

I couldn’t believe she had lied. All that detail, all those stories, those tears…

I was devastated that my child was going through so much, almost torture, at school and that no one was listening to, or helping her.

In I went, all guns blazing, and really took the Head Teacher to task. My child was being bullied, verbally, physically, and I hadn’t been informed of anything… homework destroyed, lunches stolen…

Only to be told it had been a pure work of her twisted imagination.

It was her who was the bully.

But I Smile Anyway...

“Now, that’s a carrot and a half!” Nina exclaimed, as she checked out her booty from the allotment this week.  Nothing genetically modified about that one! In fact, it would have never made it to a kitchen, let alone her plate, had it been in one of the fields of the huge supermarket chains.  Definitely not a politically correct carrot, not the required 6 inches long, or what ever the job description stated for carrot vacancies nowadays.

But it was her carrot, lovingly planted, and watered, and cared for.  And oooh it would help to make a great soup!

As previously stated, I open this challenge to all of you, my readers, if you wish to take part!
