Allergic To My Fitbit!

I was so happy when I got my Fitbit for my birthday!

I’ve been wearing it everyday for 3 months, but I did notice a small rash under one area appearing.

In the past I have been allergic to certain metals (nickel) used in watches, so I tend to wear bracelet watches that are loose.

This has an elastomer strap and there is a small amount of nickel in the clasp.

I have turned it round, loosened it slightly, and worn a plaster to allow the sore to heal.

It eventually does, and things are ok for a while.

But last week it happened again, and by Friday the sore was so painful, I had to take my beloved Fitbit off!

Ouch!

Will possibly need to return it… 😦

During the week, I get one session where I plan for the following week.

It is then that I try and look for fresh ideas online, (Pinterest is a Godsend!).

This week I was trying to find different Christmas craft ideas for the children.

Though the ones I found may not be practical for my nursery children, they turned out beautifully!

Maybe you could have a go with your own children!

It is December.

That means Advent Calendars for all!

Now I have been good this year, not getting one for myself, what with my diet etc! There will be plenty of naughty food available around the place without extra temptations!

I got the kids theirs, but this year I failed to get Sonu Singh his one (Bad mummy!) What with one thing and another I haven’t been able to find one, or get to the shop where I knew I would find it.

Anyway, on the first of December, I bust out the calendars and the kids were suitable excited… as was the cat!

Who knew that my 2 year old fur baby would have enough intelligence to remember that he had one, as well as the big two-legged kids, last year, and the year before!

I felt soooo bad! What an awful mummy I was!

So at 7.30am, you would have found me desperately ringing a couple of shops to see whether they still had Cat Advent Calendars available!

Located, we went that evening after school to fetch it.

Phew!

Here you go Sonu Singh! Mummy won’t forget next time!

It’s Been a Cold Week!

We’ve had some really frosty weather here this week, you know, temperatures hitting below freezing.

Pretty icy ferns inside my car!!

I have had to scrape ice off the windscreen at least twice!

Now I am firmly a ‘spray with de-icer and scrape’ kinda girl, but my sis in law usually splashes lukewarm water over hers and is good to go. Her father is a car salesman with his won garage, and he swears by it.

So, on the second day, I thought ‘why not try it, and filled a bottle with warn water, and got ready to pour and leave with speed.
